Verse:
            DD chord
It was the roar of the crowd that gave me heartache to sing
          Bm7Bm7 chord
It was a lie when they smiled and said you won't feel a thing
           GG chord

We laughed so hard it would sting

Pre-Chorus:
BmBm chord EmEm chord

please someone help with the tabs? i cant read them at all theyre so confusing and everything ive googles doesnt explain how to play this song, why is there chords just above the tab and why doesnt any of it play properly when i do it?

    • Cloudie says:

So, the first line is the farthest line away from you, and the last line that the tab show is the line closest to you. The number shows which fret you put your finger in, and the line the number is on shows what line to place the finger on. For example there’s a 3 on the second line, pluck the second line with your finger on fret 3. The order of the plucking goes from left to right, so the first number you see is the first note. If 2 numbers are on top of eachother, it means to pluck both of them at the same time. The chords mean nothing, it’s just there if you want to play them instead of the tab. The tab here is honestly a good tab once you learn it, it sounds just like the song. I hope I helped :3

  • skellydun says:

@poppycsmith I too was confused by the tab part of the song, but I tried making it a bit simpler, but it still sounds the same, so here it goes
    xA|-5—5—5———-|
    xE|—5—5—5—3—2—3—5—3—2-|
    xC|——————–
    xG|———————-|

  • Username* says:

This is missing the first half of verse one

  • AndyRCresta says:

@poppycsmith @skellydun It was also difficult for me to read the tab so I get my own version listening to the original song. Hope you like it and help.

  • Memelo says:

What does the strumming notes at the start mean? I can’t figure it out

    • Moose says:

Do you mean the tabs? Pretty much, each line corresponds with a string and each number corrosponds with a fret. There are a few meant to be played at once, but sometimes you can ifnore one or the other. As for the chords above, I’m not quite sure, it seems like you may be able to strum those chords as an intro instead? But I’m not sure how that sounds.

  • MocleXPip says:

Missing the first half of the chorus!!!

  • Abbydabbydoo2903 says:

    add the first verse please!!!!!

  • Cloudie says:

They didn’t add the first verse because the tab is there first verse. If you see at the top it says pluck 2 times, one time for the intro and one time for the verse. The actual song plucks during the first verse, and then the chords come out at the second verse.

  • Dead Winter says:

This how I do the tab…
    xA|-3-3-3————-
    xE|–3-3-3-3-2-3-5-3-2
    xC|——————–
    xG|——————–

At least this is how i do it…

Do not ask for strumming patterns. Sharing online how to literally play a song (i.e. strumming, rhythm and tempo) is not allowed by the MPA (Music Publishers Association) because of copyright issues.

Carefully listen to the song and "feel" the rhythm. Once you get the basics of strumming, it'll go real quick. Maybe the strumming guide can help you.
