1. About UkuTabs
UkuTabs is a free online resource that publishes ukulele chord arrangements, tablatures, learning guides, tools (tuner, chord namer, scales), and related editorial content. I (Jonas) have run UkuTabs since March 2012.
2. Use of the Website
You may use UkuTabs only for lawful, personal, and non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Use UkuTabs in a way that infringes any third party's rights or violates applicable law;
- Scrape, mass-download, or systematically extract content (including for use in machine-learning datasets, AI training, or competing services) without prior written permission;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, its servers, or its underlying infrastructure;
- Interfere with the operation of the site (denial-of-service attempts, automated probing, vulnerability exploitation);
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute UkuTabs content for commercial gain.
3. Account Registration
Some features (favourites, profile, posting comments) require a free account. When you register you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. I may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or abuse the service.
4. Intellectual Property
The UkuTabs name, logo, design, original written content (guides, articles, reviews), code, tools, and curated archive structure are © UkuTabs. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of this material without prior written consent.
Songs, lyrics, chord arrangements, album artwork, and artist images are the property of their respective copyright owners and are presented under fair-use principles for personal, educational study only. See the Legal & Copyright page for the full statement and the takedown process.
5. User-Submitted Content
UkuTabs accepts user-submitted material (chord arrangements, comments, profile information). By submitting content you confirm that:
- It is your own original work, or you have permission to share it;
- It does not infringe any third party's copyright, trademark, privacy, or other rights;
- It is not unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit;
- You grant UkuTabs a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to host, display, and distribute your contribution as part of the site.
I may edit, refuse, or remove any submission at my sole discretion. Repeated violations may result in a permanent ban.
6. Comments & Community Conduct
Comments on song pages and articles are moderated. Hate speech, harassment, spam, doxxing, and self-promotion outside the topic of the page will be removed. To detect spam automatically, UkuTabs uses Akismet, which may collect commenter metadata (IP address, browser, comment content) for that purpose only. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
UkuTabs is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including (without limitation) warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. While I work hard to keep arrangements accurate and the site running smoothly, I do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of Liability
UkuTabs is offered free of charge as a personal and educational resource. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UkuTabs and its operator exclude all liability for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising out of your use of (or inability to use) the website — including without limitation loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption.
No monetary compensation is offered for any claim arising from or related to UkuTabs, whether such claim is based on contract, tort, statute, or any other legal theory, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable mandatory law (for example, for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence).
9. Third-Party Services and Links
UkuTabs displays third-party content and integrates with third-party services (Google Analytics, advertising networks, YouTube embeds, Last.fm artwork, Gravatar, MailerLite and MailerSend for email, Cloudflare for delivery and security). Each operates under its own terms and privacy policies, which I link to in the Privacy Policy. UkuTabs is not responsible for the content or practices of external websites that I link to.
Some pages, mainly the guides, contain affiliate links (primarily to Amazon). As an Amazon Associate, UkuTabs earns from qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change the price you pay. I only link to products I would genuinely recommend. See the Privacy Policy for how these links work.
10. YouTube
Song pages may embed official music videos via the YouTube IFrame Player. By using these embeds you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
11. Termination
I may suspend or terminate your access to UkuTabs at any time, with or without notice, if I believe you have breached these Terms or applicable law, or to protect the integrity of the service. You may close your account at any time by contacting me.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law applicable in the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of UkuTabs shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction within the European Union, except where mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence (within the EU) provide otherwise.

13. Changes to These Terms
I may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be flagged on the site where appropriate. Continued use of UkuTabs after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
