Most playedHow the difficulty levels work
Every song on UkuTabs is rated for difficulty so you can pick what fits your playing right now. Here is what the three levels mean and how to choose.
What do easy, intermediate and advanced mean?
LevelsEasy songs use a few simple open chords and gentle strumming, learnable in a session. Intermediate songs add more chords, barre shapes and varied strumming. Advanced songs bring complex chords, fingerpicking and key changes that take real practice.
How do I pick the right level?
GuidanceNew to the ukulele? Start with easy and you will be playing real songs in your first week. A few months in and most songs feel doable? Intermediate is your sweet spot. Comfortable with barre chords and fingerpicking? Advanced will keep you challenged.
How are songs rated for difficulty?
MethodEach song is graded on its chords, chord changes, strumming or picking pattern and tempo. The rating reflects the arrangement here on UkuTabs, so a tune that exists in both a simple and a complex version can appear at more than one level.
Can I try harder songs as a beginner?
Go for itAbsolutely. The levels are a guide, not a gate. Use the built-in transposer to shift a song into easier chord shapes and the auto scroller to keep your hands free while you learn. Reaching above your level is one of the fastest ways to improve.
