Verse:
      C
Well, you done done me and you bet I felt it
  G
I tried to be chill but you’re so hot that I melted
  Am F
I fell right through the cracks, and I’m trying to get back

Verse:
          C
Before the cool done run out I’ll be giving it my best test
    G
And nothing’s gonna stop me but divine intervention
  Am F
I reckon it's again my turn to win some or learn some

Chorus:
    C G
But I won't hesitate no more,
            Am F
No more, it cannot wait I’m yours

Interlude: C G Am F

Verse:
C
Well open up your mind and see like me
G
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Am F
Look into your heart and you'll find love love love love
C
Listen to the music of the moment people dance and sing
G
We are just one big family
Am F D7
It’s your god forsaken right to be loved, loved, loved, loved

Chorus:
C G
So, I won't hesitate no more,
         Am F
No more, it cannot wait I’m sure
C G
There’s no need to complicate our time is short
Am F
This is our fate, I’m yours

Bridge:
-d-do do you but do you, d-d-do but you want to come one
Scooch one over closer dear and I will nibble your ear
Bap bap bap woooooo ho ho ooooh

Verse:
C
I've been spending' way too long checking' my tongue in the mirror
G
And bending' over backwards just to try to see it clearer
Am
My breath fogged up the glass
F
And so I drew a new face and laughed
C
I guess what I'm a saying’s there isn’t no better reason
G
To rid yourself of vanity and just go with the seasons
Am
It’s what we aim to do
F
Our name is our virtue

Chorus:
    C G
But I won't hesitate no more,
            Am F
No more, it cannot wait I’m yours

Verse:
     C
Well open up your mind and see like me
G
Open up your plans and damn you're free
Am G
Look into your heart and you'll find, that the sky is yours

So please don’t, don’t please don’t
- There’s no need to complicated -
Cause our time is short
This is, this is, this is our fate
I’m yours

Haha, yep! I’ve been playing the uke for years now, but quarantine has given me the opportunity to branch out and learn a slough of new songs. As much negativity that surrounds the situation, there’s at least a little good in it.

I think doing DDUUDU is good for the strumming pattern

TheDailyLemon

Personally, I think just DuduDuduDuduDudu
is better if that makes any sense. I have NO idea how you guys portray any of this. The bold means a hard thrum, the lower ones are softer. its a 4/4

I actually think that one strum down and then hold the strings better suits this song

I’ve found that the chords (for me. Maybe I just play too fast?😂) are a bit too late. I play them a word or two before it says to.

Actually it is mainly on the chorus. The Am and F I play earlier. I am replying to my own Comment bc I don’t think I can/can’t find where to edit it lol

Pay no attention to where the chords are in relation to the words. It’s completely off.
Most phrases start with a pickup note, where the first word of the phrase is actually in the previous measure…

Just change chords on the 1-always and sing it like you’ve heard on the record.

Yeah that’s what I do too.

Yeah, that happens frequently to me when I use this website. I always have to go back and listen to the song (if I don’t know it well) to try and time the chords right with the words. Not too big of an issue, but still a little irksome. ^^

how do you play the riff at the beginning and the outro at the end??

emma s
Guest
emma s

this is for the end outro: i play each chord twice with like a pause in between but i also sing the words like this, “so please dont, please dont, please dont” so here like this

“so please (down strum c) dont, please dont, please (down strumc) dont
theres no (down strum g) need to complaaaa (down strum g) cate
cause our time (down strum am) is short
oh this (down strum am) is our fate (down strum f)
im (yours f)

but like strum on the words let me know if you have any questions!

Yes, I got my ukulele when I was 9. I never picked it up, thinking it would be too hard. But a couple of months ago I picked up a Christmas ukulele songbook and took the easiest chords from it- F, G, and C- and wrote a song. It was one of the best songs I have ever written PLUS the fact that it had music made it better. Now that Quarantine has started, I have nothing better to do. I’ve started posting myself playing ukulele on youtube and started going out on my front porch to play for the… Read more »
