7 ukulele chords used in "I’m Yours" by Jason Mraz: Am, B, C, D7, F, G and Gsus4

Anyone starting out ukulele because they’re in quarantine? Bc I am 🙂
Hey! I’ve been reading the discussion here and I wanted to give you guys some song suggestions to keep you guys occupied and improving! Some songs that I would recommend to help learn how to change chords quickly are Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin (at -2 on this website if you want the original key) and if you want something a little easier you could try Introducing Me by Nick Jonas, I think it’s a super cute song. I would also recommend learning some finger-picking patterns! It can make the song have a lot more depth, it can harmonize with singing better, and just overall make the song more interesting. (Plus you sound and look like you’re way more advanced) A good song to start off with for that is Someone like you By Adele, just starting off with a
3 2 1 2 pattern and working up to something a little more challenging like maybe Can’t Help Falling in Love by Elvis Presley or Love of My Life by Queen. And start to experiment with plucking multiple strings and shifting more than you’re used to. For Love of My Life, I use 3&1 2 3 4&1 2 3 4 for each chord and then I repeat for the next chord. And finally, really challenge yourself with both of these aspects. One difficult song that I recommend you guys try to learn is Guava Jam. It’s super pretty, very island-ey and just has all around good vibes 🙂 This is just my two cents as someone who’s been playing for a while. I love seeing people trying new things and learning and making beautiful music with such a fun instrument! Stay safe y’all!
I’ve found that the chords (for me. Maybe I just play too fast??) are a bit too late. I play them a word or two before it says to.
Yes, I got my ukulele when I was 9. I never picked it up, thinking it would be too hard. But a couple of months ago I picked up a Christmas ukulele songbook and took the easiest chords from it- F, G, and C- and wrote a song. It was one of the best songs I have ever written PLUS the fact that it had music made it better. Now that Quarantine has started, I have nothing better to do. I’ve started posting myself playing ukulele on youtube and started going out on my front porch to play for the people to make them happy. My fingers are peeling right now and even though my brother yells at me all the time to “please stop playing”, I hope this is a hobby I can keep for a long time.
The End.
I think doing DDUUDU is good for the strumming pattern
This song is amazing and super easy… im new at playing the uke so im super glad one of my favorite songs is super easy to play
Why are there so many dislikes???
anyone else just ordered a ukulele to learn during quarintine
i use the strum pattern DUXUDUX (X=chnk)
how do you play the riff at the beginning and the outro at the end??
i use DUXUDUX (X=chnk)
For some reason whenever I accidentally dislike it dislikes it forever. Because I take it off, but then it just adds another dislike.
If anyone here is not under quarantine, I’ll give them a hundred bucks cash or PayPal.
This song is great! It’s super easy for anyone who wants to try it. Go ukulele!
I got a ukelele for my birthday, and I just learnt this song (Awesome!) Pretty sick song am i right?
Does anyone know the strumming pattern?
I hate that this song was taken by Tik tok and now if you ever sing it, you are a Tik tokker
instead of a d7 you could play a c7 if that makes it easier 😉
The lyrics are Best-est not Best test. Look it up….
I had the ukulele for 1 year and then got a new a few months ago and now I know I’m yours and I don’t know my name
