G C
Dashing through the snow, in a one-horse open sleigh,
 Am D7 G
O'er the fields we go, laughing all the way.
                                         C
Bells on bob-tails ring, making spirits bright,
      Am G D7 G D7
What fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight. Oh!

Chorus:
G
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
 C G
O what fun it is to ride
 A7 D7
In a one-horse open sleigh, hey!
G
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
 C G
O what fun it is to ride
 D7 G
In a one-horse open sleigh

  G C
a day or two ago, I thought I'd take a ride
    Am D7 G
And soon Miss Fanny Bright was seated by my side
                                                    C
The horse was lean and lank, Misfortune seemed his lot
    Am G D7 G D7
We ran into a drifted bank and there we got upsot. Oh!

Chorus:
G
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
 C G
O what fun it is to ride
 A7 D7
In a one-horse open sleigh, hey!
G
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
 C G
O what fun it is to ride
 D7 G
In a one-horse open sleigh

  G C
a day or two ago, the story I must tell
   Am D7 G
I went out on the snow and on my back I fell
                                          C
a gent was riding by in a one-horse open sleigh
    Am G D7 G D7
He laughed at me as I there lay but quickly drove away. Oh!

Chorus:
G
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
 C G
O what fun it is to ride
 A7 D7
In a one-horse open sleigh, hey!
G
Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way!
 C G
O what fun it is to ride
 D7 G
In a one-horse open sleigh

G C
Now the ground is white, go it while you're young
 Am D7 G
Take the girls along and sing this sleighing song
                                            C
Just bet a bobtailed bay, Two forty as his speed
 Am G D7 G D7
Hitch him to an open sleigh and crack! You'll take the lead. Oh!

This is an ukulele website, so the chords here are going to be set up to play on the uke. It’ll sound very different of the guitar.

I use D-D-U-U-D-U-D-U for the strumming patter it sounds great!

Joanna

Me

Pamula Furness

Nor me! Not keen on the last one, it’s a bit of a tongue-twister to me.

Jaci06

So……I’m just a beginner and am not too good yet. What notes sound okay and are easier than D7 and Dm?

em

i cheat and just do a bar chord on the third fret, it doesn’t sound as good as D7 but it is easier

samara bryant

What i did when i first started is i did the D7 like a bar chord on the 2nd fret and i used my other finger to do the third fret on A string so its the same thing but the A string has two frets down

Abbie

whenever I am learning a new song I always write it down and modify it to the way that I think it sounds best and what is easiest to me. My recommendation is to play all of the chords you can find and then see which one sounds the same or even better and is easiest to transition into and play.

Elina

This is really late but for D7, you actually don’t have to skip the bottom string with your 1st finger. You can actually just bar the whole 3rd fret and place your 2nd finger on the bottom string on the 4th fret, and it’ll sound exactly the same.
