  • nikkiuke says:

it would be great if there was a tab for the finger picking

    • Jonas says:

You can simply fingerpick the chords above the lyrics, the timing/rhythm isn’t that difficult ;-). Listen carefully to the recording to get it right.

  • nikkiuke says:

i don’t get it though do you pluck every string for each chord or what

  • Land Cat says:

I’ve seen another tutorial for this song nikkiuke and they suggested a plucking pattern of :C+A [slight pause, then] G E G A G E A. They add in some extra notes to transition between chords, but I think that patter works rather well.

  • Tom says:

I use the travis pick and it sounds great! Comment above I only use for the intro.

  • MakalaMan13 says:

This song is best on -2

  • GeeFdi says:

I agree with MakalaMan13. Try it on -2

  • BubbaUke says:

Has anyone swapped D in for D7? Sounds OK and is a bit easier to play.

  • BubbaUke says:

Has anyone swapped D in for D7 on -2? Sounds OK to me and is a bit easier to play.

  • ukeman says:

i agree with BubbaUke, because when i swapped the D7 for a D on -2 its easier and it sound better. Also on the second last verse, after the Dm there should be a E7 and after the F there should be a C.
i hope i helped anyone out with

  • Frank the tank says:

For the picking i do G-C-E-A-E and then the chord for each one

  • Christophe says:

For the fingerpicking: GCEA ECGC EAE sounds good to me

  • lapinapequena says:

“Man, come on. I had a rough night and I hate the f*ckin’ Eagles, man!” ?

  • t.mercer says:

We need tabs for the fingerpicking!

  • gonzo says:

real easy chords +5. Em B7 makes a nice transition.

  • Lex says:

For finger-picking I found the best was 1-2-3-4-3-4-3-2-3, and it works for each note. Sounds exactly like the original when you play it right

  • kelletth says:

+2 for women, -2 for women. Sounds much more like the original song.

  • zippy says:

    Gb7 sounds better with a F#

Play a F from the 2nd fret, baring the 1st with your finger.

  • shruggernaut says:

-2 does NOT sound good, at all. I’m sorry but it just does not sound like Hotel California. just stick with the non-transposed version. It’s pretty spot-on.

  • Viv R says:

How do you put all of it on one page? Also, is there an app for this? Thanks!!!

  • Frostmace says:

put capo on fret 1, played the original chords here.
sounds good with a lower male voice

  • Unicornofthec says:

I’m confused about the second line in the chorus. More specifically how to play the chords.

  • Eperks says:

    For the fingerpicking I like C A G – E A – C G E A – – – – –

  • McSuckit says:

    This sucks really bad

  • Dillan says:

Is there any chords that I should play at the end for -2?

  • Teggers says:

I’ve just been playing about with this and on -2 with a bridge on fret 2 actually works really well, keeps it in a similar key (unless i am soon tone deaf its unreal haha)

  • TheBabbauke says:

    Strumming pattern?

  • Iury says:

    Intro [2x]:
    [Bm7] [F#] [A]

    [G] [D] [Em]

  • Iury says:

    Intro [2x]:
    [Bm7] [F#] [A]

    [G] [D] [Em]

  • Cranky Franky says:

I transpose from Bm to Am for the key. I fingerpick without picks. sounds good to me.
