  1. down down down DOWN
    every fourth strum is harder

    • David Wheeler

It’s a 6/8 time, so the pattern should be down down down DOWN down down; or down down up down down up, or similar.

  2. Maya Criveanu

I really recommend +4 for the beginners and -1 for the more confident beginners.

  3. -1

  4. -1 is very easy!! It has the C D Em and G chords!

  5. thorbest12

WOW! I have been playing this song on the ukulele for a while, but I just recently tried using these chords on the piano and it was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend trying that. Thanks Ukutabs!

  6. +4.
Strum where it change notes or says to play them twice in the 1st verse, then a strumming pattern of DDD for the rest :)

  7. Cara Woods

I agree I have not long just started playing ukulele but +4 is a lot easier.

  8. Cara Woods

Does anyone know a strumming pattern for beginners.

  9. velvet.alien

    For the outro I did

    G Em C D C D G

  10. Horse Girl

+4 is the BOMB. Super easy and really simple. Perfect for beginners. Also ED Sherren is also the BOMB!!!!!!!!!! He is the best songwriter.

  11. Ahsokalives4

    I love: +2 and -1…

  12. lalizzziela

    +4 is great

  13. Edrayline

I recommend +4 too. Also, at the end of the song in +4, instead of ending with a G, play the G and then a C to match the song.

    Y’all dumb

  15. OMG I totally agree with u

  16. Idc what u think but...

I cried once to this song. It makes me remember when my grandma passed away from cancer and my grandpa would sing a long to this in his car and he is sad and so am I. You might be saying like, BABY or WHINY PERSON but de emotions r real, k? Also a song I recommend if ur depressed **like me ** cough cough** is good old days by Kesha and Macklemore and Ryan Lewis cause it’s sad but hopeful and it makes you think about life and death and good times. No judging ppl.

  17. ThEdOgIsPissInG

I personally like -1. And a good strumming patter is D-d-d accent on the 1st strum. And on longer notes just keep strumming intervals of 3 (D-d-d)
