Intro -x2-: Am F C

Am F C
Walking down 29th and Park
Am F C
I saw you in another’s arms
Am F C
Only a month we’ve been apart
          Am F C
You look happier
Am F C
Saw you walk inside a bar
Am F C
He said something to make you laugh
Am F C
I saw that both your smiles were twice as wide as ours
               Am F C
Yeah, you look happier, you do

Am F C
Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
     Am F C
But ain’t nobody love you like I do
Am F C
Promise that I will not take it personal, baby
Am F C
If you’re moving on with someone new

                     Am F C
Cause baby you look happier, you do
                    Am F C
My friends told me one day I’d feel it too
                    Am F C
And until then I'll smile to hide the truth
                  Am F C
But I know I was happier with you

Am F C
Sat in the corner of the room
Am F C
Everything’s reminding me of you
Am F C Am
Nursing an empty bottle and telling myself you’re happier
F C
Aren’t you?

Am F C
Ain’t nobody hurt you like I hurt you
     Am F C
But ain’t nobody need you like I do
Am F C
I know that there’s others that deserve you
        Am F C
But my darling, I am still in love with you

                     Am F C
But I guess you look happier, you do
                       Am F C
My friends told me one day I’ll feel it too
                Am F C
I could try to smile to hide the truth
                 Am F C
But I know I was happier with you

Interlude -x2-:
Heya heya heya
Am F C

                Am F C
Baby, you look happier, you do
                     Am F C
I knew one day you’d fall for someone new
                      Am F C
But if he breaks your heart like lovers do
                       Am F C
Just know that I’ll be waiting here for you

  1. i think for beginners use DU {Am} , DU {F} , D{C} {hold} at each chord.

  2. For the strumming pattern, I foundthat DDU DDU DDU DDU sounded the best. So you do Am F C C for the whole song except for the outro where the strumming pattern is just D D D D but the same notes. Hope that makes sense lol. 😅

  3. At the Verse i Play a simple Finger Picking from C to e to a to e 1 on a 1 on f 2 on c
And at the Chorus and pre corus a simple DDUUDU

  4. I feel like this song is very easy it has only three chords and honestly I am pretty sure a beginner can do this I know it can be hard to switch cords like from A to C or anything like that but you will get the hang of it my strumming pattern for the whole song down up down up down Up up

  5. PizzaChunkie24

OK, I love this song, but I think its more difficult level 2 or 3. there are just 3 chords, but they are very often.

  6. Sofi’s Uke

my strum pattern is DDUD for the first two notes and the last note gets one strum, it sounds similar to the video, lmk if you use this one :)

  7. Maeve Stanley

  8. I just go with the flow and do what come naturally ar feels right at the time!!!

  9. Sampo salmela

    Paska biisi 0/5 en panis

  10. Kawaii~UkulelePlayer

I love dis song soo much

  11. I use DDUUD, but it’s the same idea

  12. My strumming pattern is DDDUD, it’s really easy and it sounds good ?

I’m in between UUD (A) UUD (F) UUDUDUDU (C) as the basic strumming for the song (and then varying it sometimes to go with the flow) or Starting with a Down stroke (and doing everything in the opposite direction). Would be interested in seeing what others think. If this is a good strumming pattern or not. Thanks!
