5 ukulele chords used in "Galway Girl" by Ed Sheeran: A, Bm7, D, E and Gbm

it is a fast song, but if you practice you’ll get a LOT better ;3
-2 is easier for me with the strumming of D-D-D-D for the intro chorus, DDUUDUD or DUDUDUDU for the verses and chorus.
I love this song and -2 is really easy and I would use dduudu
I think it sounds good when transposed to +1- it’s kind of easier too
I really like this song. One of my favs from Ed Sheeran, although I do have a little bit of an issue when a song that I like has a note or chord that doesn’t sound like the original, like the dm7. I just changed that to Am and it sounds a lot better. If anyone else has been having some slight OCD triggers over that on3 area, just change it to Am 🙂
For those struggling with E to cheat you can place your 3rd and 1st finger in the same spot. But then just lightly place your 2nd finger on the C string to silence it and it will sound exactly the same. Hope that helped 🙂
I find +3 easiest and it’s not too high 🙂 only challenging chord for me is Dm7 but it only comes up 2 or 3 times!
-2 is better for me. I love this song, it’s so catchy and fun to sing to!
the E chord also works as an E7, I find it way easier to play, especially when its combined with the other chord shapes in this song.
+3 sounds the best for me ^^
For me it is the easiest and sounds the best in -2, Fort he chorus a good strumming pattern is. ddudu
I dont use em in the chorus.
I think -2 is the easiest the only hard chord is a7sus4… when I google it nothing comes up
Can i get the strumming pattern? I don’t know how to strum this fast song
i prefer +3 because they are basic chords apart from the dm7 but it only comes up a few times and u can just carry on the f from the previous line
-4 is good too if you want to work on your Bb or just want a small challenge 🙂
-2 is the easiest if your struggling with the E
What do you mean by this??
