Verse:
Am Em
I remember tears streaming down your face
         Cmaj7 G
When I said, I'll never let you go
Am Em Cmaj7 G
When all those shadows almost killed your light
Am Em Cmaj7 G
I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone
Am Em Cmaj7
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Chorus:
Cmaj7 G
Just close your eyes
     D Cmaj7
The sun is going down
             G
You'll be alright
    D Cmaj7
No one can hurt you now
              G
Come morning light
D Cmaj7 D Cmaj7
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window darling

everything's on fire

if you replace cmaj7 with f, g with c, and d with g then it sounds a lot better

Emma

Cmaj7 doesn’t sound right to me

Lemon

Yup, i replace it with c :)

Anna

I would recommend using the Cmaj7 for the verses and C for the chorus, I think it add more depth to the chord progression

Hannah Buckmuller

F-AM-C-G is a really nice chord progression for the chorus

hooman

I personally think that the F chord is played better than the D chord idk im a begginer and I don’t like the D chord very much

Mengnan Lai

Do any Chinese friends know how to play the prelude or what is the rhythm of the song?

Pizzakitty >^•.•^

Is it just me or does cmaj7 not work with the song? I tried c and I think it worked a LITTLE better but idk

AureliaJellyfish152

-2 also sounds pretty good especially the chours

Kolyn

You wanna know what I changed, that I think sounds a bit better? I changed the last Cmaj7 at the end of the chorus to an Am. Not that the Cmaj7 was bad, but I wanted to add something extra in there

Ev

In case you were wondering (since I found the starting note difficult to find), I’m pretty sure the vocals start on the 2nd fret of the A string (on a B)
