If you find that the E chord in the chorus is too difficult you can try a G chord instead. Intro: C C don't you worry, there my honey F we might not have any money Am F but we've got our love to pay the bills C maybe I think you're cute and funny, F Am maybe I wanna do what bunnies do with you, F if you know what I mean C E F C Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents homes in the South of France E let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters F G and teach them how to dance C E let's get rich and build our house on a mountain F D making everybody look like ants C F G C from way up there, you and I, you and I well you might be a bit confused F and you might be a little bit bruised Am F but baby how we spoon like no one else C so I will help you read those books F if you will soothe my worried looks Am F and we will put the lonesome on the shelf C E F C Oh, let's get rich and buy our parents homes in the South of France E let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters F G and teach them how to dance C E let's get rich and build our house on a mountain F D making everybody look like ants C F G C from way up there, you and I, you and I ( no guitar ) oh, let’s get rich and buy our parents homes in the south of France let's get rich and give everybody nice sweaters and teach them how to dance let's get rich and build our house on a mountain making everybody look like ants from way up there you and I, you and I, you and I This arrangement is its contributor’s own interpretation, shared for private study, education and non-commercial use. 6 ukulele chords used in "You And I" by Ingrid Michaelson: Am, C, D, E, F and G

Some variations that have helped me:
* Swap E for E7
* Swap D for D7
* Swap F for Am in the first (“buy our parents homes”) and third (“build our house”) verses in the chorus
The strum pattern is ddu udu for reference
I think E7 is both easier and more accurate sounding as a substitute for E
How about this, Girl with a little uke and big dreams:
Maybe I think you’re cute and funny
Maybe I want to call you boo, and for you to call me too
If you know what I mean
Good luck with your talent show!
i kinda like how Em sounds instead of E
Hey i want to play this at my schools talent show but i cant play the second verse (for obvious reasons) so i was wondering if anyone has written a…cleaner verse?
I use the back as a drum during the silent part and when the song is over I finish it off with a little personal flair ( g ) badum ( c ) dum!!
Thanks for the E7 tip, that works in so nicely and sounds much nicer than G.
I don’t use a strumming pattern on the chorus, but usually I do d d u u d u
I like to use -5… I think it’s easier to play and sounds really nice.
Swap C for G at “homes in the south of France”
I literally learned the E chord just so I could play this song 😂
If the E is too hard, try E7.
i usually strum this as d d u d u haha lol
I lik song 🙂
The G instead of the E in the chorus sounds better :)))
Easy e chord for me
A| 2
e| 4
c| 4
g| 4
Its a variation of the d chord. Use it all the time and made e a lot less intimidating.
Looks like you just copied the guitar chords XD
if you listen to the song a few times, its easy to figure any strumming pattern issues or any note change issues
Transposed +6 is really easy…
