5 ukulele chords used in "Skinny Love" by Birdy: A, Dbm, E, Gbm and Abm

-4 is definitely easiest for beginners and I used single down strums for each new chord (as I do for all songs)
I personally love +1
+3 was the easiest for me, but personally i thought +1 was the best : )
ok omg this sounds rly good. So preferably do -3 (it sounded really cool and was easy) and single down strums until you get to the first verse, “told my love to wreck it all…” There, do a down down up up down up strumming pattern every four counts, it just speeds it up a little makes it more interesting 😉 Then when you get to the pre-chorus slow the strumming a little, do a down down up pattern every four counts giving it a little bit of a slower tempo. Keep this up until you reach the chorus where you will repeat the faster down down up up down up pattern. For the bridge, just do slow, single down strums. Then when it goes back to the chorus for the last time and the end of the song, switch back to down down up up down up, just as the previous chorus. I also finished the song by ending with a single down strum on the last chord (C if your doing -3), that may be kind of obvious tho haha.
hope that made senseee
If you listen to the song while playing you can kinda pick up the strumming along with the way the strings in the background are plucked. After each C chord in the verses (for -4) if you pluck the 1st string then the 4th string 2 times it sounds really nice.
I do the strum pattern dduudu. It’s pretty easy and sounds good with mostly any songs
I feel like the Dm sounds a bit off, any suggestions
This song is actually by Bon Iver!
go down 4 half steps and put a capo on fret four its way easier
This song is awesome! I find that it works best on -4 🙂
anything to replace the e chord???
I play ddud, though in parts single strums work to convey the right atmosphere and the shift between certain parts [who will love you, who will fight…]
However it sounds really good with just single strums too!
If you add a cmaj7 chord after the at the end of each line of the verses after the c it sounds nice
-4 is easiest
are you all just doing down strums??
Looooove -3 on the piano, just saying.?
-4
strumming pattern please
I found that on -4 it works the best for those who can’t sing as high as she can. Also, near the end when it says who will love you, who will fight, that’s really nice to play with just strumming each note once <3
his version is also on the site but they’re not exactly the same
