7 ukulele chords used in "Dead!" by My Chemical Romance: Am, C, D, D7, Dsus2, Em and G

yesssss i love this song. For all the emo children who have good christian parents and didn’t know, we get a reunion tour.
playing mcr on ukulele is my aesthetic this is amazing
For the final DEAD! you have to do a single down strum and mute it right after. Just something I like to do and personally I think its sounds great when you do it like that.
For the verse I do: pluck C string, then pluck all four strings on off beat (1, 3) for the rest of the chord. For the chorus I do D DU UDU. At the end of the first chorus (“…dead!”) I strum down on dead once then mute. Before the next verse, there is a small guitar part, and I just do an UDUD. Repeat, then at the bridge I do a simple ‘UDUDUDU, starting on the + after the 1st beat (as in 1+2+3+4+). For the solo, I just do D D D D, and when the vocal picks back up, I do D DU through the end.
It’s funny that I broke my pic the other day cuz I play emo songs and it makes my I get hurt cuz I strum so hard
Only on the inside haha
I’m a beginner so I don’t really know but I use DDUU (Down Down Up Up) Then when it goes to the lalala I just use DDDD and just keep doing that until the lyrics are “If life ain’t just a joke.” Then use DDUU again. Sorry this is late I am new to this site.
Omg yassss. love this. one day I’m going to perform this song somehow!! So good!!! 😀
is only dead from the inside . . .
I love it on the ukulele
… I have only just learned the actual lyrics to this song- that one at the beginning of the chorus? The whole “have you heard the news that you’re dead”? I never new what it was so I just sang it as what I heard, which was “have you heard the news that church ends-” those are not the lyrics …. No one ever corrected me….
