Intro:
  Dbm E B A
Long ago, just like the hearse you died to get in again,
    Dbm B
We are so far from you.

Verse:
  Dbm E B A
Burning on, just like a match you strike to incinerate
      Dbm B
the lives, of every one you knew.
               Abm A Dbm B
And whats the worst to take, from every heart you break.
         Abm A Dbm B E
like a blade you stain, I've been holding on tonight.

Chorus:
  E B Dbm
Whats the worst thing I can say? Things are better if I stay.
                 C E
So long and goodnight, so long and goodnight!

Verse:
 Dbm E B A
Came a time, where every star fall brought you to tears again.
    Dbm B
we are the very hurt you sold.

  E B Dbm
And if I carry on this way, thing are better if I stay.
                 C E
So long and goodnight, so long and goodnight!

 Dbm A E B
 Can you hear me?
 Dbm A E B
 Are you near me?
 Dbm A E B
Can we pretend to leave and then,
       Dbm A E B
We'll meet again when both our cars collide!

Chorus:
  E B Dbm
Whats the worst thing I can say? Things are better if I stay.
                 C E
So long and goodnight, so long and goodnight!
  E B Dbm
Well if you carry on this way, thing are better if I stay.
                 C E
So long and goodnight, so long and goodnight!

  1. It’s missing a c dim in the chorus

  2. Oh haha nevermind

  3. Everyone stop saying the lyrics aren’t” so long and good night so long not good night” those are the lyrics

  4. -4 if you’re looking for an easier version. That’s what works best for me.

  5. Xx_Pillow_xX

In my opinion, -4 sounds the best and is the easiest to play

  6. xnamelessclique

-4 is the easiest and sounds cute
btw for the strumming pattern i use ddu except intro and bridge but idk

  7. RandomHuman

For me I find -4 the easiest. And instead of playing Ab I play G.

  8. I really like how this sounds, but the lyrics in the chorus says, “So long and goodnight, so long not goodnight,” instead of “So long and goodnight, so long and goodnight.”

  9. As a baritone, I think -2 works best for me.

  10. they have the lyrics wrong its “so long, not goodnight” its not “so long, and goodnight”
