6 ukulele chords used in "Wake Me Up When September Ends" by Green Day: Bm, C, Cm, D, Em and G

I like to play the chords given, but I play them by picking the C string, then the E string, then plucking both the G and A strings together. Play that twice for each chord… I don’t think it sounds too bad. 🙂
Hah cant even ply this song without cryin… lost my own fanily member in sept its been 2 yrs it really sux
its kind of simple but at the beginning i like to do the tab like
xA|—–5——–5–|
xE|-3—-3–3——|
xD|————–|
xG|–0———-|
and then just repeat it
i love this song, but it always gets me emotional for no reason :,)
The tune is so awesome and I love the chorus. So melodic!
strumming pattern??
Instead of the Bm, I’ve been playing a D chord that’s facing the opposite way.
Same fret, except the A string is open instead of the G.
How do you play the funky stuff at the beginning I can’t figure it out ???
My ukelele is GCEA what is the difference with your GDEA
For those of you who are here on the first of October, and dislike trying to play Bm here. Do EM but up a string.
A|0
E|2
D|3
G|4
I think that B sounds better than Bm in this song, it adds a little 7ish note 🙂
One of my favorites so far. Just learning ukulele, I transposed +5 doing just simple down strums on the beats. The only chord I didn’t recognize was Fm which was a little tricky to get the hang of at first but is so pretty. I love this song.
I think this finger picking will sound AMAZING with the given chords
picking pattern: (GC* – C – A – C – E – A)
Use the above picking pattern twice for each chord
GC* – Pluck G and C together
+5 for female range and easy chords 👍🏼
+5
I love this song. It’s that one song that you listen to over and over at three am when ur feeling cold and lifeless 🙂
i’m not crying i just have mcr reunion in my eye
i play a g minor instead of a d in the verses, it just sounds better to me
If you’re a beginner, you can play -7 and sing an octave higher.
-7 is really easy <3
