Intro (x2): Gb Gb Db Db Ebm B Gb Db Verse: Gb I know what you think in the morning, Db when the sun shines on the ground, Ebm B And shows what you have done, Gb Db it shows where your mind has gone. Gb And you swear to your parents, C#that it will never happen again, Ebm B Gb Db I know, I know, what that means, I know. Pre-chorus: B Gb Db That you all have guns, and you never put the safety on. Abm Gb Db And you all have plans, to take it, to take it, don't take it, take it, take it. Chorus: Gb I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. Db Ebm I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. B But I can't, but I can't, Gb Db when you all have guns for hands. Gb I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. Db Ebm I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. B But I can't, but I can't, Gb Db when you all have guns for hands. Verse: Gb Let's take this a second at a time. Db Let's take this one song, this one rhyme. Ebm B Gb Db Together, let's breathe. Together, to the beat. Gb Db But there's hope out the window, so that's where we'll go. Ebm B Let's go outside and all join Gb Db hands but until then you'll never understand. [rapping part, repeat Ebm B Gb C# four times] We've turned our hands to guns, trade in our thumbs for ammunition. I must forewarn you of my disorder, my condition. 'Cause when the sun sets, it upsets what's left of my invested interest, interested in putting my fingers to my head. The solution is I see a whole room of these mutant kids, fused at the wrist I simply tell them they should shoot at this. Simply suggest my chest and this confused music is obviously best for them to turn their guns to a fist. Interlude: Gb Gb Db Db Ebm B Gb Db Chorus: Gb Db Ebm I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. B Gb Db But I can't, but I can't, when you all have guns for hands. Gb Db Ebm I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. I'm trying, I'm trying to sleep. B Gb Db But I can't, but I can't, when you all have guns for hands. This arrangement is its contributor’s own interpretation, shared for private study, education and non-commercial use. Why don’t they have tyjo’s songs on here? I feel that’s very important for clique members to have.

strumming pattern? please someone
-1 with a capo on the first fret is easiest. Stay alive, frens! |-/
Thanks for the great tab! For fellow beginners, it helps to transpose it down half a step and capo at one. The sound isn’t exactly right, but it sounds good enough to justify it if the alternative is taking two minutes to transition between the original chords.
Try playing it at +1, chords are so much easier
Gosh this song is at least in my top five favorite songs ever of all time
+1 is easy for new guys. stay alive, friends |-/
4- with a capo on the first fret sounds best imo
No problem. For -6, you put the capo on the 6th fret. +1 = 1st fret. I personally don’t think you need the call for +1. The capo would be the same for -1, 1st fret. +6 =6th fret… etc.
Hope this helped
If you’re a beginner/can’t do a B chord (Like me and I’ve been doing it for almost a year whoops) I recommend transposing to -6, they are beginner chords and it still sounds correct. Also, for the bridge, it says to do Db but I recommend the Dm chord 🙂
Well excuse you
transpose to 6- or 1+ for easier chords 🙂
Use a capo on the first fret, keeps it in the original key of the song and makes all the chords a helluva lot easier
I recommend when using the +1 transpose to replace the G in the verses with an Am. Good luck 🙂
Thanks a lot JoshDunIsBae for the tip …it works great
I’d recommend -6 or +1 the chords are easier. Also, I’d suggest the ‘down down up up down’ strumming pattern.
GUNS FOR HANDS IS NOT ON VESSEL. ITS ON REGIONAL AT BEST!!!
OMG try the screen chords with the lyrics… If you work out the key and timing it sounds AMAZING!!!
(screen chords are:
