BB chord
Nobody thinks what I think,
Nobody dreams when they blink
                    EE chord
Think things on the brink of blasphemy
I'm my own shrink
Think things are after me, my catastrophe
AbmAbm chord
I'm a kitchen sink, you don't know what that means
          GbGb chord
Because a kitchen sink to you
Is not a kitchen sink to me, OK friend?
BB chord
Are you searching for purpose?
Then write something, yeah it might be worthless
EE chord
Then paint something then, it might be wordless
Pointless curses, nonsense Verses
AbmAbm chord
You'll see purpose start to surface
No one else is dealing with your demons
GbGb chord
Meaning maybe defeating them
Could be the beginning of your meaning, friend.

Nobody thinks what you think, no one
                                       EE chord
Empathy might be on the brink of extinction
They will play a game and say
They know what you're going through
And I tried to come up with an artistic way to say
AbmAbm chord
They don't know you, and neither do I
So here's a prime example of a stand up guy
    GbGb chord
Who hates what he believes and loves it at the same time
Here's my brother and his head's screwed up
But that's alright.
BB chord
Time gains momentum the moment when I'm living in 'em
                                                 BB chord
I'm winning a momentary sinning a moment passing after
a re-beginning moments mending memories
                                                                  EE chord
Pretending enemies are friend of me, sending me straight to bending me
My bad behavior but I bet I could have been a better man
                                   AbmAbm chord
Copy and paste caught me, and copy, better rhymes bother me
                                                            GbGb chord
The better the rhythm the badder I am but I bet I'll battle with 'em battle
better I am, Gambling man, better bet I am a gambling man, I am?

  • Anon says:

Actually It’s at my kitchen sink

  • TheOtherPilots says:

I play on +1 I find it more easier
    great song and sounds accurate

    • DunsForHands says:

Can you help me? If you see this- I know on -(number) transpositions you put that number fret pressed down. But on +(number) ones, what do I do with my capo?

      • shisnxns says:

you don’t put anything on your capo. unfortunately. so you’ll have to find an alternative or just sing in another key to go with the chords if you transpose up.

  • madaline says:

    i think +1 is easiest

  • Nora says:

+1 is so much easier. I transpose until I find the easiest LOL

  • twentyonepillowcases says:

It’s actually “at my kitchen sink” not “I’m a kitchen sink” that’s a quote people generally get mixed up because it sounds like he’s saying “i’m” c: the chords go beautifully with this song anyhow.

  • emofrickbag says:

    *at my kitchen sink

  • thetrashofthething says:

  • anathema says:

+1 is so much easier to play

  • skeletonhoodie says:

thank you, i’m glad I can learn a song that saved my life. thank you so much. |-/

  • No Hablo Ingles says:

Skeletonhoodie Yeah I kinda agree but you didn’t have to share that. Some people (I’m not saying this about you, I barely know you) say things like that just to seek attention so it’s hard to know who is seeking attention and who is not because if I tell the wrong person “Hey, please stop looking for attention” and they are actually suicidal, then I might trigger them again. I love everyone, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes people just want attention, so they say and do things that aren’t necessary. I believe you because you’re not making a big deal out of it.
Now this is completely unrelated so now I will comment on the song.

Thank you for posting the tab of this song on your website! I like to transpose it +1 and it’s easier. thanks so much!!!!1!11!!1!!!!!1111!!!!

    • tyler joseph's ukulele says:

just saying, you should leave that person alone. it very well couldve saved their life and you dont know whether it did or didnt. so stop assuming that they could be attention seeking because honestly, you probably commented that to get attention.

      • dylanoliver says:

      • doodguy says:

Umm I don’t mean to be mean but you know if he was trying to get attention then he wouldn’t had made his comment very sincere about other people, if he/she was trying to get attention he/she would’ve commented like this ” completely one you don’t know what you’re saying.”

Completely off my common topic I really like this song if anybody needs help with cords I like -1 transpose and also +1 transpose

  • Emily02Reynolds says:

Right, there is a much better version of this on YouTube (just put in kitchen sink ukulele tutorial and click the first one) and it makes it actually sound like the song. No offence but this version isn’t the best

  • Joshler says:

This is to hard i juzt went to Isabelle Hydes YouTube and she made a tutorial. So yeah if you is finding this to hard the go there fren

  • lifes.hopeful.undertone says:

at the end, instead of an “oooooh” 5 times it’s actually “-lone” from the previous “don’t leave me alone”

  • Jamal says:

Last part goes something like this
    A [———————————————————————————————————6-4———————————————]
    E [———4-4-4-6-7-0-0-0-0-0-0-2-0-7-7-7—————2-2-0-6-7—————]

  • fren says:

    its at my kitchen sink.

  • Baydo says:

Nice! I’m learning Zach’s rap part, it’s so hard.

  • honk says:

AT my kitchen sink you dingus

  • Tyler Dun says:

    It’s “At my kitchen sink”

  • Beep beep bitches says:

    • helpingggg says:

we’re not “harping” on them (or whatever you’re trying to say). calm down. but…there’s a huge change in meaning from “i’m a kitchen sink” to “at my kitchen sink” and we’re just trying to preserve the actual message. plus, we’re also hardcore grammar nazis. ?

      • doodguy says:

So every one I would like to point out he says in the song I’m a kitchen sink because of… he is always dripping (or writing songs and trying to make every one around him happy) but all this water goes to a waste down the drain he says you don’t know what I mean because he has probably dealt with family and friends troubles but at the same time trying to make new songs for his fans and etc. now I don’t like conflict especially on an awesome ukulele learning site but I just wanted to point out that

    • rip.pluto says:

  • LovelyMs.Migraine says:

This may sound wierd but the stumming pattern i found to work best was DU DU DU DU

  • DelaneyIsAlone says:

I agree with Beep beep bitches !
Whoever made this is AMAZING AND THEY DID A AMAZING JOB!

  • abi._.tryner says:

I’m pretty sure it’s meant to be ‘IM’ a kitchen sink ??

  • piercethebrooke says:

i love this song, i like to play it in +1 because its easy for me. i learned how to rap Zach’s part, and its super hard, especially the “but i bet ill battle with em battle better i am” part.

  • aj says:

    +1 and pick it (4,2,3,1)
    it works for me

  • idk says:

you guys in an interview tyler himself talks about this very line and talks about what it means to him. the point is that he says “I’m a kitchen sink.” can’t question the songwriter now can you? anyways i love this song a lot whatever the line may be, and whoever made the tab did an amazing job.

    • alex says:

he actually does say “at my” its just hard to understand. He does say that the song is about something that happened to him at the kitchen sink, so….

  • TaxiCabHometown says:

AT MY KITCHEN SINK. In all of the lyric videos its I’m a kitchen sink but it’s at my and that’s aggravating me. It’s like the lyrics in Johnny boy on here. It’s he’s falling in love!!!!! Okay I’m done.

  • alayna says:

Every lyric video and if you search up lyrics for it its “I’m a kitchen sink”. Everyone knows what “I’m at my kitchen sink” means but “I’m a kitchen sink” no one knows what that means except Tyler. It makes more sense than “at my kitchen sink “. OR It’s A MANDELLA EFFECT !!!

  • Jubey says:

A kitchen sink is something with purpose

  • Deja says:

In a video where he talks about the song he says, “At my kitchen sink” and he explains it

  • Sp00ky Jim Christmas says:

Something I like to do at the end~
