Verse:
Eb Ab Cm
We all are stranger creatures than when we all started out as kids,
        Bb
Culture forbids,
Eb Ab Cm
We have romantic fantasies about what dying truly is,
                Bb
To fall off the grid.

Pre-Chorus:
Ab Eb Fm Bb Ddim Eb
We live for the night's de - cor.
       Gb Bb Eb Bb
It reveals what we dream of.

Chorus:
Eb Ab
I know there's someone at the door,
                                  Cm
They called for help, of this I'm sure,
         Bb Ab
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes,
Eb Ab
I'm holding on to what I know,
                            Cm
And what I know, I must let go,
                Bb Ab
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along.

Verse:
Eb Ab
We all know somebody who knows somebody who's doing great,
Cm Bb
I know some people who know people who are flying straight,
Eb Ab
But I'll kindly enter into rooms of depression,
Cm Bb
While ceiling fans and idle hands will take my life again.

Pre-Chorus:
Ab Eb Fm Bb Ddim Eb
We live for the night's de - cor.
       Gb Bb Eb Bb
It reveals what we dream of.

Chorus:
Eb Ab
I know there's someone at the door,
                                  Cm
They called for help, of this I'm sure,
         Bb Ab
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes,
Eb Ab
I'm holding on to what I know,
                            Cm
And what I know, I must let go,
                Bb Ab
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along.

Bridge:
Cm Bb Ab Eb Cm Bb Ab Eb
This room is far too dark for us to stay around,
Cm Bb Ab Eb Cm Bb Ab Eb
Redemption's not that far and darkness is going down.

Eb Ab

And what I know, I must let go,
                Bb Ab

  1. Does anyone know a good strumming pattern?

  2. AntisocialExtrovert

    I replaced Ab with G.
It’s easier to play and sounds almost the same.

  3. daniel lester

    i prefer a Bb7 instead of a Ddim

  4. Nicoanthejumpsuits

-1 with capo on fret 1 sounds the same and has much easier chords

  5. legs on the menu

In my opinion, this is really good and sounds accurate however, Ddim should be replaced with Bb7 which is played 2,3,2,2 (to those who want to know).

  6. LilMissUnderstood

    +2

  7. The Ab chord doesn’t sound right.
I play it with a Bb

The Ab chord sounds perfectly fine. Maybe you’re playing it on the wrong fret. Ab should be played (strings in order from G to A) 5,3,4,3.

  8. I feel like this REALLY needs to be fixed. Its missing the “la da da da”s and the part where josh goes “oh oh oh oh oh oh”

Other than that the tab is lovely ☀︎

  9. these chords are perfect aH
