Verse:
Eb Ab Cm
We all are stranger creatures than when we all started out as kids,
        Bb
Culture forbids,
Eb Ab Cm
We have romantic fantasies about what dying truly is,
                Bb
To fall off the grid.

Pre-Chorus:
Ab Eb Fm Bb Ddim Eb
We live for the night's de - cor.
       Gb Bb Eb Bb
It reveals what we dream of.

Chorus:
Eb Ab
I know there's someone at the door,
                                  Cm
They called for help, of this I'm sure,
         Bb Ab
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes,
Eb Ab
I'm holding on to what I know,
                            Cm
And what I know, I must let go,
                Bb Ab
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along.

Verse:
Eb Ab
We all know somebody who knows somebody who's doing great,
Cm Bb
I know some people who know people who are flying straight,
Eb Ab
But I'll kindly enter into rooms of depression,
Cm Bb
While ceiling fans and idle hands will take my life again.

Pre-Chorus:
Ab Eb Fm Bb Ddim Eb
We live for the night's de - cor.
       Gb Bb Eb Bb
It reveals what we dream of.

Chorus:
Eb Ab
I know there's someone at the door,
                                  Cm
They called for help, of this I'm sure,
         Bb Ab
But do I want to say goodbye to all the glowing eyes,
Eb Ab
I'm holding on to what I know,
                            Cm
And what I know, I must let go,
                Bb Ab
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along.

Bridge:
Cm Bb Ab Eb Cm Bb Ab Eb
This room is far too dark for us to stay around,
Cm Bb Ab Eb Cm Bb Ab Eb
Redemption's not that far and darkness is going down.
-Eb Ab Cm Bb-
Badadada Make them stop.

Chorus:
Eb Ab
I'm holding on to what I know,
                            Cm
And what I know, I must let go,
                Bb Ab
But I would rather play a song for the eyes to sing along.
-Eb Ab Cm Bb Ab-
Make them stop.

Abby

-1 with a capo is the correct chords in the right key

daniel lester

i prefer a Bb7 instead of a Ddim

good suggestion

yeah that’s much prettier than what’s written

EEEEEE News

That name needs some appreciation

AntisocialExtrovert

I replaced Ab with G.
It’s easier to play and sounds almost the same.

ToriUnicorn07

+4 is easiest in my opinion

Aashuii

i tried searching it up but can someone please tell me what “+” means

Gerard Way’s Eyeliner

Yo broski
You see that thing up there where it’s like “-7 thru -1 then 0 then +1 thru +7” or smthn
So yeehaw buckaroo
(Lol I’m sorry this comment is a lot)

Jacket Slut/Quackson Whore

your comment and name and everything makes me all so happy

Kiwibutt

A tip; do +4 and add a capo on the first fret! To me that sounds pretty good

solangelo

am i the only person who doesn’t think this sounds right at all?

Megan Biles

Nope, it sounds kinda weird to me too

Pretty.Emo.

try +4, its a little better. You’d need a capo on the first fret to finish it off. (i don’t have one myself so ugh but you know)

Nahlia

If anyone prefers the non-transposed version, it would help playing Eb as a barre chord so it transits into Ab easier, and change Ddim to F#m (or Gbm)

Nedismylife

+4 is pretty easy

TyshJash

-3 is easier for beginners uwu

E Wilson

Does anyone know a good strumming pattern?
