I WAS PLAYING THIS AND I WAS LIKE WAIT WHATS AT THE END AND THEN I REALIZED IT WAS NORTHERN DOWNPOUR AND NOW IM CRYNG
I’ve been trying to learn this once since forever, and I’m proud to say that I’ve pretty-much got it now. Keep practising you lot! We’ll get there
Of course the only song I really have wanted to play on the uke is the hardest possible
if yall need it, dflat minor can also be played like b minor, but two frets up. so 6444. bar the 4th fret and then put your ring finger on the g string
yo.. i play this with different chords and i didn’t realise the end was northern downpour until i read the comments. its safe to say i’m sad now…..
+3 has easier chords for beginners!
D D-U D-U D-U
An alternative to Dbm is barring the fourth fret with your first finger. And with your second finger on the fifth fret of the E string and your ring finger on the sixth fret of the C string
C doesn’t sound right at the ‘all depends’ part, does anyone have a different chord?
I’ve learned this song with a completely different set of chords and it sounds the same, personally i think it would be a bit harder but i find it easy.
I can’t figure out how to play Gb. My pinky can’t reach that far. Any suggestions?
For +3, I prefer playing a C instead of Db… I feel like it just finishes the song on a better note than the Db.
Strumming Pattern?
if you want an alternative for E use 4442
How do people not find dbm impossible?! Does anyone have a solution??
Some of the lyrics were off….
* Stanza 1, Line 2: “And you carry a little speech with you” should be “And you carry a little piece with you”
* Stanza 3, Line 2: “And I was flashing around” should be “And I was splashing around”
I also play it on +3 since my voice is higher (and it’s a lot easier IMO). Thanks!
By “First 3 strings,” do you mean G C and E?
If anyone is having trouble with chords and want to find alternatives then u could download the free Ukulele app (the app has a man with a beard as the icon) and if u go there and click “Tools”, then click “Chord library”, and put in the chord u want, u can find different ways to play it by sliding u finger across the screen (slide up to go down the fret board and slide down to get closer to the top of the fret board ) and that will change the formation of the chord.
+3 is really easy and but capo on first fret
Aww it has the bit from northern downpour in it too!
