Verse 1:
G D Em
I close my eyes and I can see
                 C G
The world that's waiting up for me
       D C
That I call my own
G D Em
Through the dark, through the door
              C G
Through where no one's been before
        D C
But it feels like home

Pre-Chorus:
D Em D C
They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
D Em D C
They can say, they can say I've lost my mind
D Em D C
I don't care, I don't care, so call me crazy
D Em D C
We can live in a world that we design

Chorus:
       G
'Cause every night I lie in bed
    D
The brightest colors fill my head
  Am C
A million dreams are keeping me awake
  G
I think of what the world could be
  D
A vision of the one I see
  Am C
A million dreams is all it's gonna take
 N.C.
A million dreams for the world we're gonna make

Verse 2:
G D Em
There's a house we can build
      C G
Every room inside is filled
     D C
With things from far away
G D Em
 The special things I compile
         C G
Each one there to make you smile
     D C
On a rainy day

Pre-Chorus:
D Em D C
They can say, they can say it all sounds crazy
D Em D C
They can say, they can say we've lost our minds
D Em D C
I don't care, I don't care if they call us crazy
D Em D C
Runaway to a world that we design

Chorus:
G
Every night I lie in bed
    D
The brightest colors fill my head
  Am C
A million dreams are keeping me awake
  G
I think of what the world could be
  D
A vision of the one I see
  Am C
A million dreams is all it's gonna take

Let me be part of it all

Share your dreams with me

You may be right, you may be wrong
                    A C
But say that you'll bring me along
C G
To the world you see
G Am
To the world I close my eyes to see

I’m not quite sure how to write these but to pluck the beginning:
A| –2–2–2–2|–0–0–0–0|–5–5–5–5|—————-|
E| 3–3–3–3–|2–2–2–2–|—————-|–3–3–3–3|
C|—————–|—————-|4–4–4–4–|0–0–0–0–|
G|—————–|—————-|—————-|—————-|

TwentyOnePilotsPanickingAtTheDicoWhileFallingOut

Thank for this!!!

Love it

Unknown

I just want to correct it should be 3 at A

The Soft Emo

Maybe for the ending where you have the 3 on E, you can do 2 3’s on E, then do C, then 3 on A, then another C, then end with a 2 on A to get the ending like how it is in the movie. The TAB is really good though!!

silk

I edited (*) the end so it could be used throughout the verses
A| –2–2–2–2|–0–0–0–0 |————————|——————|
E| 3–3–3–3–|2–2–2–2—|*—3—3—3—3* |——————|
C|—————– |—————— |*4—4—4—4—* |*04040404*|
G|—————– |—————- |———————— |——————|
//OR//
A| –2–2–2–2|–0–0–0–0 |———————|——————|
E| 3–3–3–3–|2–2–2–2—|*03030303* |——————|
C|—————– |—————— |——————— |*04040404*|
G|—————– |—————- |——————— |——————|

The ukulele enthusiast

I’m just starting to learn finger picking, how do I read this?

Ukuboii

That above I should called a tab. The numbers are saying or representing which fret to press. For more info, search It on the web.

RATZ_1235

An easier way to do the 04040404 is this
A|————|
E|-0-0-0-0|
C|0-0-0-0-|
G|————|

MooMan4

Instead of 3 on E, you could also just play open G

Mason

Here’s the beginning:
A|-2-2-2-2|-0-0-0-0|-5-5-5-5|————-|3-2——-|
E|3-3-3-3-|2-2-2-2-|0-0-0-0-|-3-3-3-3|————-|
C|————|————-|————-|0-0-0-0-|————-|

Mariyam.uku.X

Rose

moguwu

Guest

The strumming pattern I use fo the song is DUDU UDU
Hope this helps!

I dont know my name

I’m Doing DDU UDU

Jake

lol I didn’t put my actual name, but I should of done what you did!

Lovethissong

This song is awesome 😍🤩😍 but if you’re a beginner, I suggest riptide, and someone to lava

sarah

lava is a great one for beginners (that was my first song) happy birthday is also a good one

haha_ok

so is this is home by Cavetown! it was my first song and very easy to play. Also a very good finger stretcher so you can play harder notes in the future! When you’re done with that, I suggest Kindergarten, Luv Note, and Road Trip by chloe moriondo…

Liv W

I absolutely love this song, for beginners I recommend Lost Boy, that was the first song that I learned to play.

Llamalife:)

I love this song

Livly

For the intro, finger pick the E and A string (Idk how to explain it, just try match it to the song) with the chords G and D and then the C and A string (same rhythm) with the chords Em and C :)

Zoe

omg god bless thank you so much

Lovethissong

I’m young, sorry y’all don’t feel safe telling you my age, but I sing, play ukulele 🎸, and piano 🎹.

Jake

wait who asked you to tell your age?

mAdDiE.oK

this really helped me out to explore the ukulele music world. i already play the violin which is quite different than the ukulele. i really mastered this song in about a month and explored more music that’s more challenging than this. this song helped me become the musician i am now! i now play four instruments! The violin, ukulele, guitar and the piano! Thanks ukutabs i really appreciate it

Lillllly

I played violin then went into ukulele too! It seems to be a common combination!

Brooke

I went from ukulele to violin ?

Alexasly21

Me tooo! I’m working on trumpet now too

haha_ok

I went from oboe to piano to ukulele :)

Tunetube

I learned the violin and then went to the ukulele too! I also learn the drums, guitar, and piano. This is my favourite song to play on any instrument

Naomi

I’m like this too. im only twelve and ive just started my 12th instrument.

SophALoaf

But-but how?! You talented ppl over here meanwhile I’ve only learned a little guitar a little bit of piano hand drums and the ukulele. I also sing but idk if that counts.

Megs

What?! I’m twelve too; and I have only started 8 instruments! An applause for you!

AutumnFalls

I’m like that too, I’m Thirteen and play the Uke, obviously, a little bit of guitar, this is my eighth year of piano, and the saxophone! Good job for those of you who play 12 instruments at age twelve! That’s really impressive!

SeaLuv

Corona’s the one who got me to pick up my uke again

Music lover

This is the same for me. I got a Ukulele for Christmas and haven’t really played it and then after school got out for the summer I went and got my ukulele and started playing again.

Liv W

Same, I got a Ukulele for Christmas and because of Covid-19 I picked it up and now I can’t stop playing it!! LOL

Mary;););)

I’m literally the exact same😦😦😦😦😏😏😏 in every single instrument even Sax

haha_ok

I’m 12 and can play the oboe (not very well), ukulele, a bit of piano (I can play Ellie’s theme from Up, pumped up kicks [theme], stranger things [theme], into the unknown, the theme from Inside Out, and i can play the song from tiktok that goes like “feels like i went to hard, feels like i did to far.. lets get naughtier, somethin naughtier!” [kinda all i remember though]) and I can sing like an opossum on helium so haha cool

I dont know my name

WOW I’m 11 and This is the only instrument that I have liked. I have played the piano and guitar but the ukulele is the one I like the most.

Bellalala

Yo same, bro.

Lovethissong

One per year

moguwu

I-I went from ukulele to guitar and i have barely done anything on guitar

fanny

yes! I still play the violin. It is perfect combination with ukulele or guitar. I can also play 2 types of flute, of course ukulele, guitar and learn piano and violoncello.

UkeGirl07

I play flute and than tried Uke

CaptainDirtJar

I’m 15, I’ve played the violin for about 7 years now. Two years ago I taught myself how to play piano chords (using the internet, unfortunately I can’t play classical piano because I can’t read bass cleff), and then last summer I got an ukulele, so I’ve been playing for about a year. Last Christmas I got a guitar and picked up the basic chords pretty easily, and now I’m trying to learn basic finger style guitar and ukulele.
I think it’s funny, you’d think not a lot of people play both violin and ukulele, but apparently it’s a pretty common combination.

StarWarsFreak19

At the beginning, i did
A |-2-2-2-2|-0-0-0-0|-5-5-5-5|————|
E |3-3-3-3-|2-2-2-2-|0-0-0-0-|-3-3-3-3|
C |————|————|————|0-0-0-0-|

and did the same thing at the end after the last line doing the same thing but a little slower and ended on a G chord

StarWarsFreak19

sorry forgot to add this but i did the intro twice before starting

Jazzy

thanks! that sounds g8!!!!

Forst

What does the – mean?

Jake

it is just a space between notes.

JustADumTheaterNerd

I’m so new at this so i dont understand what this means… soo can someone tell me what it means or tell me where i can learn it??

Jake

you could use this link to learn! https://ukuguides.com/advanced/how-to-read-ukulele-tablature/#:~:text=A%20tab%20is%20always%20read,Then%20the%20open%20C%20string.

Brody

If you don’t want to use the finger picking technique, I would suggest using slow tempo half strums with a full downstrum emphasis on the third strum of each phrase! Worked well for me! :)
