    the four lines are the strings (g, c, e, a) and the numbers in those strings are what fret to put your finger on.
    For example:
    if its like this
    — 3-2–0-
    -4———-
    ————-
    ————
    Then you would first put your finger on the forth fret and pluck, then let go, then you would go to the a string and pluck with your finger on the third fret. Get it??
    When there is a 0 that means just pluck that string without putting your finger on any of the frets.
