I find that playing this song with a capo on fourth fret keeps the song in the same key as the recording! Fair warning though, only do this if your fingers can handle doing a D chord with a capo in the way… It’s very difficult, for me at least!

This a perfect ukulele song.
The song should be +2 (A, E, & D chords) to this to match radio/youtube versions I’ve heard and played along with. I think it sounds better in that key also, although it does contain the dreaded E chord. If you do play in the key shown here, I recommend you use 4th string 5th fret in your D so it sounds like a step down to the following by the C chord.
