Verse:
          Em
I found a pile of Polaroids
                            C
In the crates of a record shop
                              G
They were xxxx, xxxx looking back
                          B7
From a night that time forgot
           Em C
Boy he was something debonair in 1979
                            G
And she had Farrah Fawcett hair
                     B7
Carafes of blood red wine
C Em
In the summertime
C B7
In the summertime

Pre-Chorus:
             G B7 Em C
Oh don't you wonder when the light begins to fade?
        G B7 Em C
And the clock just makes the colors turn to grey
        G B7 Em C
Forever younger, growing older just the same
        G B7 Em C
All the memories that we make will never change

Chorus:
           G B7
We'll stay drunk, we'll stay tan, let the love remain
      Em C G B7
And I swear that I'll always paint you golden days
       Em C
Golden days
       G B7
Golden days
       Em C
Golden days

Verse:
           Em C
I bet they met some diplomats on Bianca Jagger's new yacht
                           G
With their caviar and dead cigars
                  B7
The air was sauna hot
           Em
I bet they never even thought about
                           C
The glitter dancing on the skin
                               G
The decades might've washed it out
                           B7
As the flashes popped like pins
C Em
In the summertime
C B7
In the summertime

Pre-Chorus:
             G B7 Em C
Oh don't you wonder when the light begins to fade?
        G B7 Em C
And the clock just makes the colors turn to grey
        G B7 Em C
Forever younger, growing older just the same
        G B7 Em C
All the memories that we make will never change

Chorus:
           G B7
We'll stay drunk, we'll stay tan, let the love remain
      Em C G B7
And I swear that I'll always paint you golden days
       Em C
Golden days
       G B7
Golden days
       Em C
Golden days

Bridge:
Am
Time can never break your heart
          D
But It'll take the pain away
      Am G

Guys instead playing B7 the way they say, put your first finger on the third and fourth string, second fret. Your second finger on the first string second fret. Third finger second string third fret. It works well and you playing all the right strings in the right frets

    • Hey! I think the chord you’re describing is B. It does sound good! Personally I prefer the sound of B7 but B is much easier to switch to.

A good replacement for B7 is:

I replace B7 with BM. I think it sounds unlit and I find it easier to play. It puts a bit of a twist on the song
