5 ukulele chords used in "Obsessions" by Marina and the Diamonds: Am, C, Em, F and G

Me singing this song:
….look look um…
QUICK…dang!
Uuuuuhhhhhh?
THE CRAKERS WHERE PROBABLY BAD LUCK ANYWAY!!!!!
Help me.
I hope this helps anyone but: I usually play the song like this.
I do single downstrums until “Won’t you quit your crying” to “you are an absolute creep” i do four down strums for each chord, and after that i continue down strums
Once you get to supermarket do the traditional DDU UDU UDU UDU for each chord. Continue that for the rest of the song. After the interlude I revert back to just a down strum 🙂 I hope this helps!!!
Put -2 Capo 2 and it sounds great!
Ok I tried it with single downstrums and it sounded GREAT, but what’s the actual stunning pattern or which one works best
It’s almost perfect. I made a few adjustments and it was.. if I knew the chord names for what I played I would make one but I dont…
I can try to explain..the C.. in needed to sound sadder (more minor-y? I didn’t pay attention in band class) so i added an a.. and a minor didnt sound right.. I don’t know what chord I used but it was c, f, a, c. The F was c, f, a, f. For E minor b, e, a flat, b. That one still didn’t sound quite right to me though but it was closest I could get without actually pulling the song up. Everything else was fine.
If it feels weird I guess it might be because I tune to A, D, F#, B. But I played the chords without using tabs.. so a G for me is a G for everyone. It will sound fine I’m just mentioning the tuning because maybe with a different tuning the finger placement may be weirder for you. For my tuning its an easy adjustment. Try it if you can though.
