I played this song for my little sisters funeral, she was 11 and this was her favorite song in the world. Please pray that Kiera made it to heaven, she was hit by a car and 2 days later passed away.

When it says “you may say I’m a dreamer” instead of playing C, Cmaj, E E7 I play F G C E7. I hope that this is helpful, that’s just what I think sounds right

For “above us only sky”,”no religion too” I play an Em. It sounds really pretty. And for “a brotherhood of man” I play an A

i think the strumming pattern is DDD DUD DDD etc

After each chord, plucking the c string sounds good, so it kind of sounds like this:
CcCcCcCM7cCM7cFcFcFc and then a good riff is 0-1-2 on the A string.

For the ‘imagine all the people..’ I do plucking down from g to a and for the chorus + pre-chorus I do F/ am/ dm/ etc.

I play Am in place of E7 if people are finding it hard

Personally, i think +7 is slightly easier! :)
Just an FYI, “No need for greed or hunger,” and “Nothing to kill or die for” actually is sung later on towards the end of the original. Other than that, it was very helpful!
