Interlude: G G G G

G Gbm B7 Em D C
Yesterday, all my troubles seemed so far away
C D7 G
Now it looks as though they're here to stay
    Em A C G
Oh, I believe in yesterday

G Gbm B7 Em D C
Suddenly, I'm not half the man I used to be
C D7 G
There's a shadow hanging over me
    Em A C G
Oh, yesterday came suddenly

B7 Em D C D7 G
Why, she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say
B7 Em D C D7 G D C G
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday

G Gbm B7 Em D C
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
C D7 G
Now I need a place to hide away
    Em A C G
Oh, I believe in yesterday

B7 Em D C D7 G
Why, she had to go, I don't know, she wouldn't say
B7 Em D C D7 G D C G
I said something wrong, now I long for yesterday

G Gbm B7 Em D C
Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play
C D7 G
Now I need a place to hide away
    Em A C G
Oh, I believe in yesterday

G A7 C G
Mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm-mmm-mmmmm

What ukulele strumming pattern for the pasty clients walking after midnight song

  2. If you play it transposed +5 it’s a lot easier in my opinion. I’m a baritone and it’s easier to sing at this pitch plus the chords are C, F, G, Am, D, etc. Also the Bm in this transposition should be played as an Em which is [4320] (idk the notation for ukulele but it’s first string, second, and so on)

Heads up — if the Em sounds funky, that’s because it’s supposed to be played as an Em7. On the ukulele, it sounds better played as just an E7. Also, all the G’s are supposed to be G7.

  4. i do D D U U DU for one chord and then the next two i do DD, and repeated overall it sounds like
    D D U U DU DD DD
    G Gbm B7

For this song I like to do fingerpicking as I think it makes it really mellow and sweet. The one I use is where you first pick the C string, then the E string, then the G string, then the A string and then the C string then the E string again.
    In tab it’s like this:

    ———————————-0————————————
    ———-0———————————————0————–
    ———————-0———————————————0—
    ———————————————0—————————-

    • cheesetoastie

Another one that also works really well is this one:
      ————————–0——————-0—————————————-
      ——-0—————————————————————0—————
      —————-0—————————————-0———————-0—–
      ———————————–0—————————————————-

  6. -2 sound the best but +4 works for me as well – easy and high enough :)

  7. ukulele _genius

Sounds good. I didn’t know the chords at first, but it sounded really good after about 2 or 3 tries. Don’t judge me. I’m only 10, and I started ukulele at about age 8.

5 half steps up sounds pretty good too

  9. Marshmeow cactus

Down down up up down up is what I do
