Play slow gentle down-strums and let each chord ring out.

I played this song for my little sisters funeral, she was 11 and this was her favorite song in the world. Please pray that Kiera made it to heaven, she was hit by a car and 2 days later passed away.
When it says “you may say I’m a dreamer” instead of playing C, Cmaj, E E7 I play F G C E7. I hope that this is helpful, that’s just what I think sounds right
Awesome song, although some of the chords r off. 🙁
E is so hard, all the ways
RIP John lennon.
Curse the person who assassinated him!
In the song for the piano intro i do this on my uke– 🙂
(F)
A|—————-2h3————————0h2h3
E|0—0—0————–1—–1——1—-
C|–0—0—0—————0——0—-0–
G|0—0—0————–2—–2——2—
if anyone is wondering about the riff..
you read a riff chart like a book (left to right) the dashes arent the frets their just spaces in between. the numbers are the frets
i love this song!
sounds good to me, you can also do the plucking pattern like this though:
A|3- – -3- – -3- – -2- – -0- – -0- – -0- – – – – –
E|0- – -0- – -0- – -0- – -1- – -1- – -1- – – – – –
C|- -0- – -0- – -0- – -0- – -0- – -0- – -0- – –
G|0- – -0- – -0- – -0- – -2- – -2- – -2- – –
2-3-4
“You may say I’m a dreamer” sounds better if you just play F G C E7 instead of C Cmaj7 E E7. Love this song!
For “Living for today”, it sounds better If you continue playing G instead of C, and 0203 instead of G7, moving G7 to the last syllable/note of the line instead
For the ‘imagine all the people..’ I do plucking down from g to a and for the chorus + pre-chorus I do F/ am/ dm/ etc.
I found it easier to play +2 (beginning with D). Then the end of the riff is played on 1st string instead of 4th string. I don’t know why but I never succeed in it if I try to play it on 4th string…
For the chorus I do:
F G C Cmaj7 E E7
You may say I’m a dreamer
F G C Cmaj7 E E7
But I’m not the only one
F G C Cmaj7 E E7
I hope some day you’ll join us
F G C
And the world will live as one
Song say imagine there is no heaven.
+5 is easier
love this song, for the verses I do after each line (on the f) i do C0 E1 A0, it sounds more like the piano of the og song, hope this helps for anyone who was looking 🙂
FYI this isn’t the entire song.
My ukulele teacher taught me a different way of playing Imagine.
The lyrics in this are in the wrong order
