5 ukulele chords used in "Absolutely Smitten" by dodie: A, Amaj7, A5, D and E

Everyone saying these aren’t the real chords, they actually are, but they are in a different position on the feet in different parts of the song. For example the second A in the verses is actually on the fourth fret (a little different to the A finger shape though) and Amaj7 is actually on the eighth fret. So just because the chord charts don’t show every variation of the chords, you will find these are correct, but do watch dodie’s video if you are having trouble understanding.
on her youtube channel, she uploaded a tutorial if you’re having trouble 🙂
the strumming pattern is
DD UDUDD UDUDD i thinkkk
I like to use the chords in her video for the verses and then to the chords her for the chorus 🙂
GOT IT-
-2 IS MUCH EASIER ON THE TRANSPOSER
tbh i dont know the first thing about fingering
you hold down the third fret of both the second and first string (so a c but you also hold down the second string like that).
in the +3 what’s the fingering for a C5?
if you click on the A5 chord it shows you the diagram
I think she actually posted a video with the chords and how to play it.. this one doesn’t sound good at all, sorry.
To see how to play A5 just hover over the A5 thingy with your cursor on PC. If your on mobile I don’t know how to help.
Honestly, for the whole thing, (Besides the chorus!) I just used a c, f, and g. It makes it 10x easier, though it doesn’t sound e x a c t.
This is very very off. Don’t use this if you want to play this song, go over to dodies tutorial
2100
4200
6400
9800
7600
Are the main chords. The bridge is
6400
7650
the strumming pattern is DD DUD she says it in her video showing how to play this song
The Amaj7 sounds a tad off. Any reccomendations?
Great tutorial btw 🙂
+3 is much easier
Wtf. This is wrong. A & A5 are correct but wtf is Amaj7, D and E doing there!??! I suggest just using Dodie’s tutorial if you want to play this song :/
These are pretty off. Dodie has a video where she shows the chords and pattern (search for absolutely smitten tutorial). It’s an A, followed by 4200, 6400, and then 7600 and then go back down as she would in the song
I suggest looking at Dodie’s tutorial. It is much better and it helps with strumming.
