8 ukulele chords used in "Moonlight" by Grace VanderWaal: Am, C, Cm, D, D5, E, Em and G

I’ve found that the best way to learn GV’s songs is by watching her play on You Tube. You might have to hit pause and do some experimenting but she usually plays fairly EZ chords and Uke chords aren’t all that hard to finger out. And that’s why we LOVE THE UKE!
I love you Grace!
I know some of this wrong, but I still like playing it!!!!
It’s one of her best I personally think☺☺☺☺
When I found this song I ligit stood up and yelled YAAAASSSSZ!!!!! Grace Vanderwaal inspired me to play ukelele, so Grace, If you are reading this, thank you soooonmuch!!!!!
I really love this song! Does anybody have any tips for the fingering on the intro though? I’ve been trying to learn it for like forever and I’m still super confused.
Grace makes the best music its like she made her own genre it does not sound like pop or countrey or rock or rap or anything else if there was a name for her genre it would be called vanderwaal music.
I love this song!
Ok i used a strumming patter of d d d u d and improvised for everything else or anything shorter i used a 3 down
🙂
This is not the same version, but I still really like it??????
The Doll
She’s a porcelain doll
Sitting on a shelf
Dressed in pretty lace dresses
With painted lips
She’s told to sit still
She’s not supposed to play
Or she’ll break
She doesn’t want that,
Does she?
But she’s already been broken
More than once
But every time
She slowly picks herself back up
Carefully gluing the pieces back together
So you couldn’t see the cracks
As if it hadn’t happened at all
Her prettily painted face
Hiding her loneliness
As the days go by
And so she sits
Gathering dust on a shelf
Behind a glass door
So nobody can reach her
This is literally my life now. Eat, play ukelele, sleep.
My suggestion- skip the D5 and just play D wherever that is.
Omg!! Love this song
love you grace
It sounds way better if you change the A in the chorus to a C.
Omg I love this song soooo much!!!! I like doing down strums then for the chorus I like doing dduudu.
like what is the best number thing cause there are soooooo many chords!!!!!!!!!!
saw that, funny.
