Verse 1:
B Db
All of the time, I'm thinking 'bout things too much
                        E
And then I end up out of touch
           Em B
And feel a lot less real than before
B Db
I speak a lot of words but tend to say a lot less
                   E
I'm just a xxxxin' mess
           Em B
And I will shut my bedroom door

Pre-Chorus:
         E
And as I iron out my brains
            Em
To speak to ice cream stains
     B Db
I'll stare at the ceiling stars and wonder why life's so hard
E Em
Locking the door, I will talk to my floor

And I'll say

Chorus:
B
Oh, my friend
             Db
I'm not sure what to do
       E B
To get out of this goo that I absorb
B
How to stop myself?
           Db
Hell, if I know
             E Em B
As above, so below, I'm my own damn spirit orb

Verse 2:
B Db
Most of the time I'm scooping mud and digging graves
                  E
In these saltwater caves
             Em B
And overgrown hospitals the like
B Db
I'll step along the way to tell the frogs and toadstools about

How I hate this body
    E Em
And they'll say, oh they'll say

Bridge:
E Em
"We would like to help you but
B Db
It seems like you're living in dreams, come back to reality"
E Em B Db E Em
I'll cry "Wait!" and I will wake up late again

           E
And in the morning, once more
       Em
I will speak to the floor and I'll say

Chorus:
B
Oh, my friend
             Db
I'm not sure what to do
       E Em B
To get out of this goo that I absorb
B
How to stop myself?
           Db
Hell, if I know
             E Em B
As above, so below, I'm my own damn spirit orb
             E Em B
As above, so below, I'm my own damn spirit orb

Hey, just to let you guys know, there is a way to make this way way easier. For the +0 transposition, you don’t even have to change to the weird Db fingering. You can just slide that B chord up two frets, and it creates basically the same chord. To add some pizzaz or whatever to the song, you can do like…this is gonna be hard to type out. All of the time I’m thinkin’ ’bout things too much B (up 1 fret) (up one fret)

Okay so that didn’t format right. *sighs* I slide up one fret on the words “too” and “much” to add some fun chord stuff to the mix. I do that sort of thing for every chord transition from B to Db.

I feel like it’s missing something on the second to last line. right after the C, i feel like there needs to be another note, a bit lower? I think it would ease it to the ending a bit better, and I think there is an extra chord there in the original.

Maybe try throwing in a G right before switching to F. It sounds a lot nicer in my opinion.

What I like to do, which I think is close to how the song is played, is whenever you get to the end of a verse with a B (i.e, “and feel a lot less real than before”), I play the B chord as D U D kind of fast and then slide all my fingers to the 5th fret in the same formation as the B chord, and for lines such as “And in the morning once more, I will talk to my floor” I strum the E muted and gradually play the Em without any muting :) hope… Read more »

well her ukulele was tuned down a half step, so if you wanna stay in the same key, you can do the same thing :)

I use +1 and this strumming pattern! :)
Verse1: D
Pre-Chorus: DDDD
Chorus: DDUDUDUD
Verse 2: DDUDUDUD
