The reason Ab sounds so wrong is because not many people notice the 2 at the top. That means it starts on the second fret. Reply if this was helpful :)))

if you guys watch the music video to this song its actually sad. its also in loving memory of Tyler Robinson who was a boy that was fighting a rare kind of cancer. at the end of the video it shows a video of him and Dan Reynolds singing together and it just broke my heart that he died in 2013 and I think yall should watch the music video
Personally, I use +4 as I have a higher voice and find -1 really low, but it depends on whether you’re singing or not and the pitch of your voice ??♀️
Instead of playing eb for two lines in each verse, I shift to gm. It works real well if you pluck the strings c a e a c a e a!

If you put on a capo and put it to -3 its like playing the og but better bc you can go up an octave for us people who cant go too low.
I recommend -3, it sounds really good, and the chords are pretty simple, so it’s great for beginners. Especially if you’re trying to learn G. You won’t really have to focus on other hard chords.

I add a Bb behind a Eb. Example: When the song goes: “When the days are cold And the cards all fold”, I play Bb, and then instead of another Bb, I do a Eb!
