( yw, also u should argue abt tvd ships in the reply so i can read them 🙂
this song means whatever you need it to mean. it’s an anthem for whomever you need it to be for. that is the beauty of music.
A good strumming pattern for this song is
Cmaj7: ⬇️⬇️then quick ⬆️
Cm: ⬇️⬇️then quick ⬆️
G: ⬇️⬇️⬆️⬇️⬇️
Guys. I want to say firstly that I myself am non binary and just love this song. I do want to say though that Im pretty sure (I could be wrong) That Cavetown has gender dysphoria and I’ve heard (again I could be wrong) that he doesn’t really want us talking about it because it makes him uncomfortable. (Please dont hate me I found this information online please correct me if Im wrong though because I love cavetown and want to make sure that this wasnt offending or something <3)
I come from a very conservative christian family, and last night my aunt was babysitting and I told her they were changing actor and actress to just actor and she went on a tangent about how they were trying to remove gender and that there were only two genders made by God. I wanted to have full on debate with her then and there about how God made two sexes and gender is an entirely different story and how wrong and transphobic she was being but I’m terrible at arguing and my family knows I have different stand points but they still have hope I’ll change my mind. It’s hard to change an adults mind set when they’re so stuck in their ways. Someday when I move out I’m going to have a talk with my family about LGBTQ+ rights and they’re gonna listen…I hope. Anyways I love this song have a great day! Love who you love, respect peoples pronouns, BLM, Trans rights are human rights, Be gay do crime! 🙂
i got my ukulele like two days ago and when i got it, i said “i a real trans boy now uwu” making a joke and my friends with me just laughed

CAPO ON THE FIRST FRET YOU WONT REGRET IT OF YOU HAVE A HIGHER VOICE
this song is beautiful, so many people can relate it…transboys, people on the nb spectrum, people who are aro/ace…or pretty much anyone who feels confused or lost…I just love a lot…
My school does these monthly concerts in a museum. Lowkey. Casual. You tell the head of music you want to play and you’re booked. I’ve been pretty shy about performing solos. Last year I decided to put my name down. I practiced like mad. The night came. I took my place. Dead silence. I fumbled the chord and lyric entering the second half of the first verse. I completely froze up and couldn’t keep playing. I left the stage and tried not to cry watching the other acts. Haven’t performed solo since then. I came back to this song a year later, and it’s weird seeing how much I’ve improved in this time. I know no one asked, and if you’ve gotten to here, thank you for reading. I just kind of had to vent it out a little.
i love this song, and wanted to learn to play it but couldn’t play ukulele, so i practiced for a while and it actually helped me learn to play.
I use d-d-du–d-d-du–d-d-du-d-d-du
Change chords at double dash
Bridge I use
D-du-udu-D-du-udu–D-du-udu-D-du-udu– etc
Its fairly similar if not the same as the original and super easy
I’m bigender meaning that I am both a girl and a boy at the same time.
Okay this is brutal but, My best friend killed himself almost 3 months ago. 5/5/20.This song has been my saving grace. It helped me through so much pain and grief. This was our song. Thank you so much for making the chords, it makes me cry every time i hear it
if you don’t want it to sound exactly like the song I normally do this:
cmaj7: ddud
cm: ddud
g: ddud *slap* dud
My family is super religious so they wouldn’t accept me?
