Intro:
    A Gbm Bm D
    A Gbm C -Eb-

Verse:
-Eb- F
Wouldn't it be nice if we were older?
                 Bb Gm7
Then we wouldn't have to wait so long.
    C7 F
And wouldn't it be nice to live together,
	       Bb Gm7 C7
In the kind of world where we be-long?

Bridge:
Dm7 Cm7
You know it's gonna make it that much better,
Dm7 Am7 Gm7 C7
When we can say goodnight and stay...to-gether.

Verse:
               F
Wouldn't it be nice if we could wake up,
                Bb Gm7
In the morning, when the day is new?
    C7 F
And after having spent the day together;
                Bb Gm7 C7
Hold each other close, the whole night through.

Bridge:
Dm7 Cm7
What happy times together we'd be spending,
Dm7 Am7 Gm7 C7
I wish that every kiss was ne...ver ending.
	           F
Oh, wouldn't it be nice?

Dmaj7 Gmaj7
Maybe if we think and wish and hope and pray,
   Gbm7 Bm7
It might come true?
Dmaj7 Gmaj7
 Maybe then there wouldn't be,
                  Gbm7 Bm7
A single thing we couldn't do?

	    Gbm7 Bm7
We could be married, -we could be married-,
	         Gbm7 C7
And then we'd be happy, -then we'd be happy-.
	           F
Oh, wouldn't it be nice?

Interlude:

Bridge:
Dm7 Cm7
You know it seems the more we talk about it,
Dm7 Am7 Gm7
It only makes it worse to live... with-out it,
	 Am7 Gm7 C7
But lets talk... a-bout it.

	       F
Wouldn't it be nice?

Outro -repeat-: F
-Ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba-,
-Ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba, ba ba ba-,
Good night, baby, sleep tight, baby.
Good night, baby, sleep tight, baby.

    That’s alot of chords. XD

  2. This is a very minor detail, but the bridge sounds better when you switch out the first Gm7 for a Gm

  3. I’m sorry, heidi_ho; but the cover you reccommend is just horrible. Completely out of tune and horrible electric uke playing . Please, visitors and singers, don’t even open the link!

    • Uh no it’s actually good and accurate electric tenor and baritone ukuleles sound completely different from concert and soprano uke. This is common sense that this was made for concert and soprano ukes. No any others
