5 ukulele chords used in "Fake Your Death" by My Chemical Romance: Am, C, D, Em and G

They did it they actually faked their death
*cries in idea*
the CORRECT lyrics, for anyone who wants them:
[Verse 1]
Some people watch
Some people pray
But even lights can fade away
Some people hope
Some people pay
But why we have to stay
[Pre-Chorus 1]
Cause even heroes get the blues
Or any misery you choose
You like to watch
We like to use
And we were born to lose
[Chorus]
I choose defeat
I walk away
And leave this place
The same today
Some like to sleep
We like to play
Just look at all that pain
[Verse 3]
You want the heart
Or to be saved
But even good guys still get paid
So watch my back
And keep the blade
I think it got you laid
[Pre-Chorus 2]
So fake your death
Or it’s your blame
And leave the lights on when you stay
Take off your clothes
And dream that fame
Come on and feel that shame
[Chorus]
I choose defeat
I walk away
And leave this place
The same today
Some like to sleep
We like to play
Just look at all that pain
Just look at all that pain
[Bridge]
Just look at all that pain
Just look at all that pain
Just give me all that pain
Just give me all that pain
Just give me all that pain
[Chorus]
I choose defeat
I walk away
And leave this place
The same today
Some like to sleep
We like to play
Just look at all that pain
i love this songgg
I’m not crying, you’re crying
I recommend the ” D DUDUDU” strum pattern for this 🙂
Hi there! I love the chords, thanks so much for posting. The only thing is, in the second verse the line goes “even heroes get the blues” (he stretches out heroes quite a bit, so the mistake is totally understandable) but other than that it’s great
okay but I couldn’t get through this song without crying someone please send help
for the strumming pattern i think that ddDddDdU sounds nice
I do my strumming a little different I strum once when the chord is shown out and let the note draw though until the next I do this until “look at all that pain” and then that’s when i do the actual strumming pattern.
Aaaaaa this is one of my fave songs can someone do S/C/A/R/E/C/R/O/W pls
I love this song sm. Thanks
If you find switching to em difficult, just use c instead of em. I actually think it sounds better. (I also saw a comment here saying to use f instead of em, I tried that and I didn’t really like the sound so hopefully this can help if you share the same view as me)
I use the strumming pattern DDDUDU, when you play along with the song it works really well
I like to use DDUDUDUD I think it sounds nice like that
I use “D UDUD” strumming pattern for most of the song and it works pretty well with the composition of the song
This is awesome, thank you for blessing is with the chords of the gods 🙂
played this song transposed +5 and found the chords much easier and the key easier to sing in for me, at least.
If you play an F instead of Em it can work if you find it hard to swap to Em quick. I found it useful. It sounds okay with the song to me and it suites my voice a little better.
Okay actually there are quite a few lyrical errors in this version, please consider revising them heavily as it somewhat messes up the meaning and delivery of the lines
