Intro: C G C

Verse:
            F
This is my song
          C G C
To carry on
                F
When you have found yourself alone
           G
And I am gone

Verse:
           F
So I will wait
         C G C
Anticipate
             F
Every last minute that we have
        G
To celebrate

Chorus:
F C
This is my song to remember me by
G F
When the moon grows long in the sky
          C G F
And you wonder why goodbyes are bound to be
           Am
Life goes on, love, you will see

Verse -same like first-:
Think of this tune
When Forget-me-nots bloom
Pick one for me and make a wish
That I will be back soon

Chorus:
F C
This is my song to remember me by
G F
When the moon grows long in the sky
          C G F
And you wonder why goodbyes are bound to be
           Am
Life goes on, love, you will see

  1. There is a bridge to this song with just “la”s and I used the chords Am and G for those of you who want to know.

  2. I did D–DUDU like the original song, not quite letting the DUDU ring out as much as the D– without really letting your fingers leave the strings completely. I know there’s a term for it, but I don’t know what it is.

  3. If anyone doesn’t know the story to this song, the really should. The composer had a friend with cancer and was about to die, and she wrote the lyrics and gave it to her to write the notes and sing it at her funeral. It’s a really sweet and awesome song.

    I did a v–v-^-v-^ waltz strumming pattern.
    I love this song <3

I think there should be an F at the end of both choruses, it gives it a nice resolution. :) I use DUU in a slow waltz, just like the original song.

  6. Dangolicious

    Strumming pattern?

  7. What strumming patter do you use?
