Verse 1:
Dbm
Counting days, counting days
                         A E
Since my love up and got lost on me
Dbm
And every breath that I've been taking
          B A E
Since you left feels like a waste on me
Dbm
I've been holding on to hope
                 Abm A E
That you'll come back when you can find some peace
Dbm
Cause every word that I've heard spoken
          B A E
Since you left feels like a hollow street

Pre-Chorus:
A Dbm
I've been told, I've been told to get you off my mind
                            B A
But I hope I never lose the bruises that you left behind
                                         Dbm Abm
Oh my lord, oh my lord, I need you by my side

Chorus:
                               A Dbm
There must be something in the water
                             Abm A
Cause every day it's getting colder
                    B Dbm
And if only I could hold you
                              Abm A
You'd keep my head from going under

Verse 2:
Dbm B
Maybe I, maybe I'm just being blinded
       A E
By the brighter side
Dbm
Of what we had because it's over
            B A E
Well, there must be something in the tide

Pre-Chorus:
A Dbm
I've been told, I've been told to get you off my mind
                            B A
But I hope I never lose the bruises that you left behind
                                         Dbm Abm
Oh my lord, oh my lord, I need you by my side

Chorus:
                               A Dbm
There must be something in the water
                             Abm A
Cause every day it's getting colder
                    B Dbm
And if only I could hold you
                              Abm A
You'd keep my head from going under

                               A Dbm

i if it’s your first time playing this i would use -4 bc it’s the easiest but sounds great

Oof

-2 is pretty easy and sounds good

brittany

strumming pattern?

AubreyPlaysUke

I play single strum on the verses. Not sure about the chorus yet, I’m working on it

hoes mad

if on +1, the end note is f :)

ookooleyley

I use -4 but change the F to a C with a capo on the second fret and to me, that sounds pretty nice :)

AubreyPlaysUke

How I play the first verse (single strum on every chord):
