Personally, me and my ukulele group use Am, G, C,C. I haven’t tried to play these chords to compare but I personally prefer the chords we use as it’s easier transition.

  2. this sounds great, but its a little hard to get used to because ive been strumming Am, G, C…

  3. Mimii9000

The chords could be much simpler. You could use A, C, G, and F.

In my opinion it sounds better transposed -1 without putting a capo on the first fret. Might just be me though

    • P!ATD is overrated

Just me that thinks it’s really hard to sing and play at the same time??

      • Just practice! Trust me, you’ll get better and soon you’ll be able to sing while playing.

      • no. it’s difficult for me too because when I’m strumming I have to say the strumming pattern in my head or ill mess up, but with songs like this where you can do single down strokes on each cord makes it easier to play and sing.

      • Do the strumming paten over and over and over again Until that’s the only thing you can play then sing the song over and over then add the right notes to it and you got yourself a song, this was my first ever song I learned it’s cool to look back at the comments

I recommend (for beginners like me) to strum dddd on all chords for the chorus except C, which you do dddddddd, then for verses just do one down strum. :)

  7. ddudu

  8. -1 sounds more accurate and way better. If your playing a duet use the 0 as harmony it sounds beautiful. -1 might be for beginners but it’s way good😊

  9. i put a capo on the first frets and played Am, G, and C, it sounds the same

  10. -1 is best! put a capo on the first fret and it makes it sound way better. i used the strumming pattern dduudu and it sounded great!

  11. I feel cheated, always and thought that the progression was am, g and c
rightly sounded something different to the original

  12. ddudu

  13. Howell-Lester

I usually play u-d-u-d-u in a progression of am, g, c cause I just think it sounds better??

  14. Fluffster

Ummmmm, i always played from a progession of Am to G to C

  15. Yeah, me too

  16. The best version is -1 with a capo on the first fret. With a classic island strum. Sounds like the original.

  17. -1 is the best for the beginners

  18. Whatamidoinghere

-1 is the best for beginners and sounds great

  19. I recommend -1! I use down down up, up down up and it sounds really good. I recommend using dduudu once for Am and G, and twice for C.

  20. i usually play this am-g-c, which works fine, and this is supposedly an easy song so i don’t see why these complicated chords are neccesary!
