I prefer playing a Cmaj7 in replacement of the Em, it sounds better to me
yea to play the lil thing you do c chord, then 1-3-5 on the e string and then you play em chord and then the e string then 2 on the c string, then just the c string, the 1 on the e string. hope this helps!
