for -2 the picking pattern, i did a 2-3-4-3
for the chorus, you can replace the first round of the pattern with a single “down” strum and start fingerpicking after that
for example D-3-4-3 2-3-4-3 2-3-4-3 and so on
for the bridge, just do single “down” strums until you reach the last word of the second last line where it goes Cmaj7
and for the last line in there where it goes “look what we became”, use a Em instead of a Cmaj7 and just fingerpick in that pattern

I have a alternative to the “your favorite crime” part instead of the Dmaj7 you can use D and then for the hold out you can go D, Dm (I hope that’s the right one!), and then A! I think it just sounds better in my mind! 🙂
