Intro:
Em Bm C
Em Bm

Verse 1:
C
Thought I found a way
Em Bm
Thought I found a way out -found-
        C
But you never go away -never go away-
     Em Bm
So I guess I gotta stay now

Pre-Chorus:
                C Em Bm
Oh, I hope some day I'll make it out of here
           C Em Bm
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
                C Em Bm
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
            C Em Bm
Wanna feel alive, outside I can fight my fear

Chorus:
C
Isn't it lovely, all alone
Em Bm
Heart made of glass, my mind of stone
C Em
Tear me to pieces, skin and bone
                   C
Hello, welcome home

Verse 2:
C
Walkin' out of time
Em Bm
Lookin' for a better place -lookin' for a better place-
C
Something's on my mind
Em Bm
Always in my headspace

Pre-Chorus:
                C Em Bm
Oh, I hope some day I'll make it out of here
           C Em Bm
Even if it takes all night or a hundred years
                C Em7 Bm
Need a place to hide, but I can't find one near
            C Em7 Bm
Wanna feel alive, outside I can fight my fear

  1. I think, that +3 sounds more interesting, and it’s easier to sing if you have a higher voice :)

  2. Anything to replace bm?

  3. montsealga

anybody know the strumming pattern, like not plucking, just strumming

  4. The uke boi

    This is actually pretty dope!
I’m going to go perform this with my friend!
Thank u ukutabs u guys are awesome!!

  5. Can you add the song “Coaster” by Khalid

  6. if you’re playing on a soprano, concert, or tenor, pluck strings E and G alternately for the intro. also maybe in some places, play Cm7 instead of just C, it sounds a little cooler.

    • i agree. cm7 sounds a lot better than just plain c. c just doesn’t seem as fitting in most places as cm7 does.

  7. Anyone know the strumming pattern or if we pic the strings or not

  8. Low Key Pasta Enthusiast

When she says “Hello, welcome home”
it says you should play Em then C
But it sounds better to play Em, Bm, C

  9. lilgrayelephant

i’m so happy that they finally have the chords for this song. one thing though: in the normal chords (no transposition) i don’t quite see how Em7 fits in? was it a mistype maybe?

  10. Kieran Trainor

my most favorite song ever will never get sick of this. what a duo they make.

  11. -7 is easiest
