Intro -x2-: Dmaj7 E Dbm Dmaj7

Verse 1:
Dmaj7 E
I had a dream
Dbm Dmaj7
I got everything I wanted
Dmaj7 E
Not what you think
Dbm Dmaj7
And if I'm being honest
                       Dmaj7 E
It might have been a nightmare
               Dbm Dmaj7
To anyone who might care
Dmaj7 E
Thought I could fly
Dbm Dmaj7
So I stepped off the Golden
Dmaj7 E
Nobody cried
 Dbm Dmaj7
Nobody even noticed
                    Dmaj7 E
I saw them standing right there
                    Dbm Dmaj7
Kinda thought they might care

Pre-Chorus:
Dmaj7 E
I had a dream
Dbm Dmaj7
I got everything I wanted
    Dmaj7 E
But when I wake up I see
Dbm Dmaj7
You're with me
        Dmaj7
And you say

Chorus:
            E
As long as I'm here
Dbm Dmaj7
No one can hurt you
Dmaj7 E
Don't wanna lie here
Dbm Dmaj7
But you can learn to
Dmaj7 E
If I could change
    Db7 Dmaj7
The way that you see yourself
Dmaj7 E
You wouldn't wonder why you hear
Dbm Dmaj7
"They don't deserve you"

Verse 2:
Dmaj7 E
I tried to scream
Dbm Dmaj7
But my head was under water
Dmaj7 E
They called me weak
Dbm Dmaj7
Like I'm not just somebody's daughter
                  Dmaj7 E
Could've been a nightmare
                            Dbm Dmaj7
But it felt like they were right there
       Dmaj7 E
And it feels like yesterday was a year ago
   Dbm Dmaj7
But I don't wanna let anybody know
        Dmaj7 E
Cause everybody wants something from me now
   Dbm Dmaj7
And I don't want them down

Pre-Chorus:
Dmaj7 E
I had a dream
Dbm Dmaj7
I got everything I wanted
    Dmaj7 E
But when I wake up I see
Dbm Dmaj7
You're with me
        Dmaj7
And you say

Chorus:
            E
As long as I'm here
Dbm Dmaj7
No one can hurt you
Dmaj7 E
Don't wanna lie here
Dbm Dmaj7
But you can learn to
Dmaj7 E
If I could change
    Db7 Dmaj7
The way that you see yourself
Dmaj7 E
You wouldn't wonder why you hear
Dbm Dmaj7
"They don't deserve you"

Bridge:
Dmaj7 E
If I knew it all then
               Dbm
Would I do it again
               Dmaj7
Would I do it again
Dmaj7 E
If they knew what they said
                        Dbm
Would go straight to my head
                     Dmaj7
What would they say instead

Dmaj7 E
If I knew it all then
               Db7
Would I do it again
               Dmaj7
Would I do it again
Dmaj7 E
If they knew what they said
                        Dbm
Would go straight to my head
                      Dmaj7
What would they say instead

to be honest, the chords just sound really wrong. they should edit it or something, cause it just doesn’t sound right!

Play on -4 with a capo (or a pen with a rubber band) on the 4th fret then the chords are Dm, C, Am and at the chorus A7 :)

-4 is the easiest for me, just put a capo on the 4th fret to stay in the same key. I also think Dm fits the song better than Bbmaj7 :)

-2 is the best one put a capo on the second fret if you want it to be in the same key as the original song and I use basic strumming pattern of ddu udu

a capo in like a clip you put over a fret, it makes it sound higher pitched

for anyone who doesn’t have a capo i would suggest F#m – D UDU Eadd4 – D C#m7 – D UDU D – D

hope this helps :)

it’s the most accurate if you have it transposed 2 levels down and strumming pattern would be dduu on the first chord and d ud dudu on the second chord over and over

also, put the capo on the second fret and first 4 lines are d d for the first chord and u for the second chord
