this is a bit late but E7 Always (almost Always at least) works wonderfully as a replacement for E!

If you want an easy version, do -2 then add a capo on the second fret in you want to stay in the same key. :))

transpose to -2 and put a capo on the first fret to make it easier and staying in tune to the original
