9 ukulele chords used in "Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head" by B.J. Thomas: Am, Bb, C, C7, D7, F, F7, Fmaj7 and Gm7

Don’t tell Burt Bacharach that B.J. Thomas supposedly wrote this tune!
The BJ Thomas version fades out with alternating with alternating F and D# chords.
Try -6 starting with good old C chord. Then, when you get to the Dm7 play an F instead. Doesn’t sound bad and it makes the whole song much easier! The third Dm7 at “happiness steps up to great me” sounds perfect as F. Why make us learn the Dm7???? This key is also perfect for my voice (my range is like James Taylor).
Love this song’ it’s not hard to get right just practice and patience thank you I’ll play it down my local pub they will love it ?
+2 is easier
I like htis music and this is my fovorite song
A classic, although I need to do my own copy because I cannot follow the timing. Put that down to my ineptitude. Am isn’t a bad swap for those non-octoplayers who can’t do the fingering. 🐙
So, minor correction…at the end of the verse, where two bars of Gm7 change to C7 for the start of the next verse, there’s one beat of C7 before the singing starts (the way it’s shown indicates first beat is on the first line of the vocals)….so the 2nd 3rd and 4th beats of that bar are “so I just,” and “but there’s one,” etc…..maybe I’m simple, but it took me a little while to figure out why the timing didn’t seem to work out, so sharing. By the way…RIP Burt Bacharach!
-5 is a ton easier
nope, it’s perfectly fine as it is. You are just playing it transposed by -5. Without transposing it’s the chords in the original key though
I don’t understand what the interlude is supposed to sound like
You can play the Fmaj7 with first and second finger on the left two snares on the fifth fret. A n easy alternative for the toughest chord, but it sounds beautiful.
For the intro try: G (UDU) D (DUD) C (UDU) A (DUD
D for down strum, U for up strum. Technically I’m not infringing copyright because this is what I think sounds cool, not the actual pattern.
+5 is the easiest
