6 ukulele chords used in "Fluorescent Adolescent" by Arctic Monkeys: A, B, Dbm, E, Gbm and Abm

(This riff is if you transpose down 2 half steps )
A|0-0-0——–2-2-2-2-0—2-2——-2-0-0-0-0-0——|
E|2-2-2—-2—2-2-2—-0–3-3———0-0-0—-2-0—|
C|2-2-2-2-2—-2-2-2——-4-4–4-2-4–1-1-1———-|
G|2-2-2—–2–2-2-2——-0-0———2-2-2———-|
This looks difficult, but just think of it as 3 down strums on D then its riff, then 3 downstrums from just putting your 4th finger down and its riff, two down strums on Em and its riff, then 3 down strums on A and its riff.
I could see why you might not want to go to the trouble of doing this, but here it is just in case 🙂 This is really extra lmao sorry
strumming pattern??
A|——-2444-42——-4222-22–|
E|000-024——-222-2-2——-42|
C|——————————|
G|——————————|
and then repeat that however many times you please 🙂

If you transpose it up to +3, i think using an Em in lieu of Bm in the bridge it sounds really nice and it’s a lot easier for people with small fingers or those who are otherwise not well-versed in switching chords so much.
How I do the riff:
A|0-0-0——0—2-2-2—2—–2-2-2——2—–0-0-0—0
E|2-2-2—-2—2–2-2-2—–2–3-3-3—-3—3–0-0-0——0
C|2-2-2–2——–2-2-2——–4-4-4–4———1-1-1——–
G|2-2-2———–4-4-4——–0-0-0————-2-2-2——-
Basically just down strum D 3 times then pick the C E A E strings, then Bm 3 times and pick A E strings, then repeat these with Em and A chords

Substitute for E? It’s too hard for me.

If you play it on -2, Id play a G chord instead of the D chord. I think it sounds better, but that could just be my opinion.
How I play the intro riff:
E C#m F#m B
2-2-2——2- 4-4-4–4-2- 0-0-0—–4- 2-2-2–2-2—-
4-4-4—–4– 0-0-0—— 2-2-2——- 2-2-2—–4-2-
4-4-4–4-6— 1-1-1—— 1-1-1–6-6– 3-3-3———
4-4-4——– 1-1-1—— 2-2-2——- 4-4-4———
Enjoy!
-2 with capo on 2 is easier. Plus u can stay in key. 🙂
So much easier than the guitar version 🙂

Do you happen to have that riff bass part for the beginning of every verse?
They have the riff on ukulele hunt it’s really easy and sounds great!
You can find the riff at the beginning on ukulele hunt.com (I do like ukutabs for chords way better though)
