Intro: C G B Em

Verse:
C
Driving away from
    G
the wreck of the day
        B
And the lights always
           Em
red in the rear view
C
Desperately close to
  G
a coffin of hope
           B
I'd cheat destiny
           Em
just to be near you

Chorus:
    C B
And if this is giving
        Em B D A7
up then I'm giving up
C B
if this is giving up
     Em B
then I'm giving up
         D A7
giving up
   C A7 D D
on love on love

Verse:
C
Driving away from
    G
the wreck of the day
        B
And I'm thinking
                 Em
about calling on Jesus
      C
Cause love doesn't hurt
     G
so I know I'm not
           B
falling in love
                    Em
I'm just falling to pieces

Chorus:
    C B
And if this is giving
        Em B D A7
up then I'm giving up
C B
if this is giving up
     Em B
then I'm giving up

giving up

on love on love

Bridge:
    Em B
And maybe I'm not up
    D A7 C B
for being a victim of love
     Em B
when all my resistance will
D A7 C B
never be distance enough

Interlude: C G C G C A7 D D

Verse:
C
Driving away from
    G
the wreck of the day

And it's finally

quiet in my head
C
Driving along
    G
and finally
          B
on my way home
                  Em
to the comfort of my bed

    C B
And if this is giving
        Em B D A7
up then I'm giving up
C B
if this is giving up
     Em B
then I'm giving up

  1. This song sounds gorgeous if you have a soft steady voice to sing it with, in an acoustic environment. Just use the very tips of your fingers and it sounds lovely :-)
