Verse 1:
D Em
I got a venom like a snake running out of my mouth
                          G
-running out of my mouth, running out of my mouth-
             D
It's got you burning at the stake
            Em G
Innocent or not, you're not a bet I care to take

Chorus:
           Bm D C
And Father ignorance will make brothers of us all
                     Em
-brothers of us all, brothers of us all-
      Bm D
As he sets our torch aflame
                 C Em G
Chasing down the flimsy specters that we co-create

Post-Chorus:
Bm
Over and over, again
             D G
We keep that old wheel turning
                  D
We spin it around

                           G
-pushing down on my lungs, pushing down on my lungs-
            D
It's got me lying there awake
                 Em G Em
with a hand on a gun while turning shadows into shapes

Chorus:
          Bm D C
Mother Fortuna, O, she makes sisters of us all
                    Em
-sisters of us all, sisters of us all-
         Bm D
When the faces in her wake
                   C G C
Look more like our own than the effigies we immolate

Post-Chorus:
                G
Over and over, again
                          Bm
We keep that old wheel turning

Over and over, again
