4 ukulele chords used in "If I Die Young" by The Band Perry: A, B, Dbm and E

-2 is pretty easy and has a good pitch if you have more of a middle voice range like me. Also don’t be intimidated by the Bm, it’s really easy once you get your fingers used to it, and on the D, dont put your fingers all in a straight line whenmake them diagonal but keep them in the same fret if that makes sense, which it probably doesn’t lol
I use DD UUDU For strumming here
this song is so emotional
whenever i hear it i feel like crying :p
If you drop it 4 steps, it becomes a very simple F-C-G-Am song.
If I die young bury me in satin lay me down on a bed of roses sink me in the river at dawn
I had to go on google to find this song then I searched it here! It’s weird. first I checked lady antebellum but then i’m like this can’t be right so I searched the lyrics and ended up here.I guess it’s weird that I remember this song from many years ago.
I can’t believe this actually sounds good on the ukulele because this song seems like (to me) its more for a guitar or like a mandolin. But at least it sounds good:)!
Ayayayaya -4
-2 sounds best to sing with it is fairly easy so good for beginners but if just starting out use -4
-4 and capo on the second fret with suprano ukulele sounds so good for me…?
I don’t like country but this is a really good song
I also do this on the last line:
so put on your (F)best boys (C) and I’ll wear my pearls (G)
just strumming once, it gives it a nice lift at the end
-4
Love it!! I play it 4 steps down 2!!
-3 sounds best if your a beginner. Its easy to play 🙂
It is a great song but it always makes me cry becuse one of my favorite techers was killed at age 29
i quite like minus 4 with a capo on the 2nd fret !!
What is a good strumming pattern?
I play it 4 half steps down also. Easier to play and sing. I play this on my 8 string tenor uke to mimc Band Perry’s guitarist playing a mandolin.
my personal favorite is -4 (if you want it to stay in the same key, you can put a capo on fret four)
Is there any chord that would be better or could replace E.
