C D
So, so you think you can tell,
             Am G
Heaven from Hell, blue skys from pain.
                     D C
Can you tell a green field from a cold steel rail,
               Am
a smile from a veil,
                      G
Do you think you can tell?

                          C D
And did they get you to trade your heroes for ghosts,
                Am G
Hot ashes for trees, hot air for a cool breeze,
                  D
cold comfort for change,
                  C Am
And did you exchange a walk on part in the war
                       G
for a lead role in a cage?

Interlude: Em G Em G Em A Em A

C D
How I wish, how I wish you were here.
           Am G
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl,
               D
year after year,
                                  C
Running over the same old ground. What have we found?
             Am G
The same old fears. Wish you were here!

Outro: Em G Em G Em A Em A G - riff to end -

  1. Does anyone know the strumming pattern for this?

  2. This is AMAZING! The chords are spot on! One problem, however, is I think some of the tablature is off…I tried playing it, but it didn’t sound right. For instance, at one point, for the rift, I did 10, 7, -5- on the A string, instead of plain 10, 7, and it sounded good! Sadly, I am not a master of tablature myself, so I can’t correct the whole thing. I mean no hate by this comment! Only constructive criticism!

Sorry to buzz kill, but the main riff is 3-5-8 on the E followed by 5-8-8-5 on A…try it and enjoy even more.

  4. Thank you! Thank you! Beautifully done.
