Intro: Ebm Abm Gb Db Gb Bbm7 Ebm Abm Gb Db Ab Db

           Ebm Bmaj7
Well grey clouds wraped round the town like elastic
 Db Gb Bbm7
Cars stood like toys made of Taiwanese plastic
    Ebm
The boy laughed at the spastic
  Bmaj7 Db Ab Db
dancing around in the rain
       Ebm Bmaj7
While laundrettes cleaned clothes, high heals rub toes
 Db Gb Bbm7
Puddles splashed huddles of bus stop crows
  Ebm
Dressed in their suits and their
 Bmaj7 Db Ab Db
boots well they all look the same

   B Db
I took myself down to the cafe to find all the
 Gb Bbm7 Ebm Db
boys lost in books and crackling vinyl
     B Db Gb Gb7
And carved out a poem above the urinal that read
            B
Don't you cry for the lost
  Db
Smile for the living
 Gb Bbm7 Ebm Db
Get what you need and give what you're given
 B Db
Life's for the living so live it
                      Ebm
Or you're better off dead

Interlude: Abm Gb Db Gb Bbm7 Ebm Abm Gb Db Ab Db

          Ebm Bmaj7
While the evening pulled the moon out of it's packet
  Db Gb Bbm7
Stars shone like buttons on an old man's jacket
    Ebm Bmaj7
We needed a nail but we tacked it 'til
                 Db Ab Db
it fell of the wall
       Ebm Bmaj7
While pigeon's pecked trains, sparks flew like planes
     Db Gb Bbm7
The rain showed the rainbows in the oil stains
       Ebm
And we all had new iPhones but
  Bmaj7 Db Ab Db
no one had no one to call

    B Db
And I stumbled down to the stomach of the town
           Gb Bbm7 Ebm Db
Where the widow takes memories to slowly drown
        B Db Gb Gb7
With a hand to the sky and a mist in her eye she said
            B
Don't you cry for the lost
  Db
Smile for the living
 Gb Bbm7 Ebm Db
Get what you need and give what you're given
 B Db
Life's for the living so live it
                      Ebm
Or you're better off dead

Interlude: Bbm B Gb Bbm7 Ebm Bbm Db Ab Db

          Ebm Bmaj7
Well I'm sick of this town, this blind man's forage
      Db Gb Bbm7
They take your dreams down and stick them in storage
         Ebm
You can have them back son when you've
  Bmaj7 Db Ab Db
paid off your mortgage and loans
    Ebm Bmaj7
Oh hell with this place, I'll go it my own way
       Db Gb Bbm7
I'll stick out my thumb and I trudge down the highway
 Ebm Bmaj7 Db Ab Db
Someday someone must be going my way home

          B Db
Till then I'll make my bed from a disused car
        Gb Bbm7 Ebm Db
With a mattress of leaves and a blanket of stars
           B Db Gb Gb7
And I'll stitch the words into my heart with a needle and thread
            B
Don't you cry for the lost
  Db
Smile for the living
 Gb Bbm7 Ebm Db
Get what you need and give what you're given
          B Db
You know life's for the living so live it
                      Gb Gb7
Or you're better off dead

            B
Don't you cry for the lost
  Db
Smile for the living
 Gb Bbm7 Ebm Db
Get what you need and give what you're given
 B Db
Life's for the living so live it

Or you're better off dead

  4. Great contribution, thanks so much.

I needed to transpose it by +1 step to be able to support Mr. Rosenbergs Videos ;)
I think the Ukulele Chords feel a bit more natural after transposing anyways…
